Canandaigua City Pier reviews
18Worth a quick visit if you’re an out of town visitor. You can park and walk the pier while taking in the views and having decent lake access. Launching kayaks from the pier can be tricky but is doable — maybe don’t try if you’re a novice. It can be a hangout space for area teenagers but you can avoid them well enough most times. Probably good for about an hour of entertainment (more if you walk the lakeshore). Best when the hot dog stand is there!
A beautiful place to visit with a few small stores, and a couples places for a quick lunch near the water. Highly recommended!
Great views. Waters always beautiful. Might catch some hot air balloons or a sailboat ragatta!
Always a place to stop for a bit for the view and relaxation. We live in the most Beautiful area of the country, possibly world. Make sure you look around and really see the beautiful spots. This is one of them.
We are traveling and visiting my husbands family who just moved to Canandaigua from New Haven, NY. We stopped by the park because I wanted to take photos. By the looks of things the park was clean, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and there was plenty to see and do. I hope to someday be able to enjoy the park as much as those we enjoyed watching their enjoyment.
I thought it would be a bit more of a draw. Are there shops in those little houses? Not sure. We drove the loop twice. More a marina for boaters.
Water was really dirty & the house boats are really run down which really takes away from the beauty of the area
What an interesting spot. The boathouses are like something from a time capsule. I highly recommend stopping by if in the Canandaigua area!
Canadaigua city peer is definitely a place to hop off if you have plannned for the Finger Lakes. This little town has a charming historic vive, with innovative boat house community which has morphed into small living quarters for some of the boat houses. Take a few minutes stroll to reflect and wind down. Pose along with The vibrant boat houses, you will definitely get a bonus postcard
Street parking available, sitting areas available, little shops are available, restrooms available.
Great place to relax and taking family or friends. It's clean, friendly people and beautiful surroundings. Excellent restaurants and wine country.
Nice views. Very relaxing to hang out or take a walk or do a little fishing. It would probably be even better if I had a boat.
Wish the guy running the hamburger and hotdog stand would wear gloves handling everyone's food. Pandemic or not, have some sense buddy.
Such a stunning location. Loved tge history and the river houses. Beautiful walk along the lake.
This park has incredible views of the water which you can canoe on. There's playground for children, ice cream shop and Resturaunts located nearby.
This is a really beautiful place to visit especially in the spring and the fall. Aslo if you love kayaking and boat rides summer is also a really good time to visit. There are several kayak rentals around so you don't need to wander around finding kayaks. There are lots of food options around and the small town is also really eye catching. On the right side of the pier there are some colorful water houses which add more fun to the experience. And it's a really nice photo location. There is a picnic park on one side of the lake which has benches and lots of shades.
Go to the canandaigua Pier for lunches in the car when it's cold. Watching the waves come in towards the pier is majestic and very beautiful to watch. Nice place to enjoy your food and beverage and also take a walk. It is a drive up Pier where you can drive your car in and back out of the pier and there is parking spaces here too so it makes it extra special and different. Strongly recommend to go here to walk the dog or just simply watch the water and wildlife
The pier is very relaxing.love sipping my coffee in the winter and enjoying an ice cream cone in summer!
