Canandaigua Smiles Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry reviews
12It is clean and organized. Everyone is nice and great communication. They are quick with what they do and my kiddos trust the staff
DONT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THERE! MY DAUGHTER WENT IN FOR SOME WORK AND WHEN THEY CAME OUT TO INFORM OF A CHANGE I DIDN'T AGREE TO IT WITH HOW IT WAS DESCRIBED. AFTER THEY FINISHED THE MANAGER RAN TO MY CAR TO TELL ME THE WILL NO LONGER SEE HER BC I DIDN'T LET THE Dr DO THE WORK THAT SHE WANTED (as she changed the original plan. NOW MY DAUGHTER'S TOOTH IS SCRAPED out she's 6 and crying in bed and they won't help bc I asked a question! When I asked to speak to the owners they said they can't tell me who they are.they laughed as I cried saying that my daughter will now be in pain bc the procedure wasn't explained to me properly
So grateful for canandaigua smiles! My son had a bad experience at his old dentist, so we just started coming here. I was worried he would always be afraid. But with the incredible set up and even more impressive staff, he had such a great experience that he's actually looking forward to his next appointment! Highly recommend coming here!
I could not have been happier with how my son’s appointment went today. It was his first dentist appointment and from the moment we walked in the doors all of the staff was warm, energetic and patient as they showed him all of the equipment and what it does. Dr. Virginia and her dental hygienist (sorry her name escapes me) gave us pointers on how to best brush his teeth, what kinds of snacks are best etc. The exam itself was great. They think of every detail, down to the smallest things that make the entire experience fun and educational. I can’t say enough positive things about this office and all of the staff we encountered!
Back on May 3, my daughter had a scheduled consultation for a cavity. The receptionist was extremely friendly and welcoming. I wish I could say the same about the female dentist who saw my 3-year old daughter. She was not very patient and didn't hide her irritation when my daughter was scared to sit by herself in the chair. I asked if I could sit near her and was told no and that I had to sit in the corner.
I was then told in order to get her cavity filled in the future they would need to give her sedation and I would not be able to be in the room with her.
I was told they would call me to set up a future appointment and still to this day (August 18th, over 3 months later), I have not heard from them.
Luckily, I called and got my daughter in at Dinosaur Dental, who did a great job. I will never take my daughter back to Canandaigua Smiles.
My son had to have some teeth removed and caps and had to be put under it took a long time to book when it was getting time for surgery had consolation my son's mom and dentist where arguing about price and what needed to be done when the manager jumped in on the call saying she was just going to cancel my son was in pain. They did the surgery but would never come back.
Switched to a new dentist for my daughter because this place just wanted to hold her down and leave marks on her face and make her scream just to get it over quick.
Everyone was absolutely amazing! We were made comfortable every step of the way! My daughter had sparkling pearly white teeth when we walked out of the office, follow up care was scheduled and they were extremely accommodating. Every step was explained from becoming a new patient, through the process of the visit, all the way through insurance coverage and financial responsibility! This is our new home for my daughter's dental care! And she received a "care package and a gift" at the end of her visit!
Just wanted to warn parents of neurodivergent children not to give the office of the Canandaigua smiles your business. My son, his father and I went there last week for a consult to look at some cavities. Mind you this is a pediatric office and they were well aware that our son has sensory issues and diagnosed ADHD. My son has never had X-rays taken before and was for the most part pretty good, but it took longer than Dr. Mitra Heidari would have liked and so after the fact, she had the assistant tell us there would be a behavioral management fee of $100. This is unethical and discriminatory and Dr. Mitra should be ashamed of herself for thinking this would be acceptable. Go work with adults if you don’t have the patience for children Dr. Mitra. It’s hard enough parenting a child that strays from the norm and to have a healthcare professional treat our family in that manner is disgusting!
They are really great with my son. Very thorough but still fast. I absolutely recommend them!
Canandaigua smiles, is always very professional, the staff is very friendly, and very helpful with any questions we may have. My kids both love going there.
