Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital reviews
6Good-Goldie & I were warmly welcomed. We were gently treated by the receptionists, the vet tech, and Dr. Jarnot. I appreciated the discounts, too! Dr. Stiner, the vet tech... Everyone treats Good-Goldie with great sensitivity!
The veterinarians and staff here are friendly, professional and very good with my dog.
My dog had Kennel Cough only a couple of months after his vaccination. He was in bad shape, and I could not get in to this location because they were closed down, no message on the machine, no answer when calling, so I drove to the location since they are scheduled to be open. Arrived to just a note on the door. Called the emergency and after hour affiliated Pittsford location.told it wasn't considered an emergency. Went through the others on the call list, and they could set up the "Emergency visit" in about a week. Ended up going to Cornell Veterinary School an hour and 40 minutes away. After fluids, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, etc.were needed due to pneumonia starting.
This place is overbooked and understaffed. Meaning that they have too many patients for their size.it is not an effective business practice.
I will be looking elsewhere for future needs.
I did reach out for an appointment… well visits are 4 months out. It’s sad that current clients can’t get in when they need to to help maintain their pets health.
Such a caring staff. I recently had to put my 15 and a half year old pug to rest. They made it as peaceful and comforting as possible. When I get a new pet, I hope to have them as a vet.
We had to say goodbye to our Yellow Labrador Retriever of 15 years. Not only was Dr. Rockcastle integral in her care and getting her to 15 years, when it came time to let her go, Dr. Rockcastle and the office staff were so compassionate and caring, not only for Ellie, but also for us. They allowed us the time it took for us to say goodbye. We never felt rushed, only that she was there to help us through the transition no matter how long it took.
I recently had to say goodbye to my 18+ year old cat. Dr. Jarnot, Dr. Rockcastle and Dr. Stiner were so amazing and compassionate along with the wonderful receptionists and techs. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and care. I have been going here since we moved to the area 9 years ago and I highly recommend Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital.
