Candlelight Inn reviews
17I am a long time customer. I have been eating here for the past 20 years or so. I have noticed a trend where the food keeps getting worse and worse. Today I wanted to give it one last shot and they disappointed again. We ordered wings, gyros and a burger. The burger had no flavor. The wings were super dry like when they have been sitting for a long time and were not freshly made. What made it worse is that I have never ever had a gyro like this. Looks like they just threw it in the box and sprinkled a bit of lettuce and tomato. It tasted ok but honestly I can not bring myself to ever give them any more money. Sad. It used to be amazing and now it’s just plain bad. Save your money and go somewhere else
My wife took me here for my first time today and I was blown away by the experience. The place has an old-school barebones intimate feel inside with wood paneling throughout. Service is great, we came in the daytime and were seated immediately and had food on our table within 5 minutes of being there. The wings are phenomenal, fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. I now fully understand the hype. Best wings I ever had. 10/10 spot.
I quite enjoyed it and so did my friends that I was there with. Just wished we did not have to vacate the place when we did. It was busy and they needed the table
This was our second visit to Candlelight Inn and once again, it was a winner. Both my wife and I are fans of this restaurant and the flavor and quality of the meals we have had including the chicken wings, burgers, roast beef and turkey dinners. If you do go, be sure to order the cookie for dessert. Fresh baked and a real treat!
Bad service. It took 40 minutes until I get appetizer while all the waitress were talking
to each other slacking off. I ordered fries and burger which did not taste too good.
Came on a rainy saturday afternoon, and there was still a small 5-10 min wait for a table. Parking lot looked 70% full. Once we were seated, it took a bit for the servers to come back and take our initial order. Once we placed our order, food came out quickly. Ordered the hot buffalo and teriyaki with a side of cheese fries. The hot buffalo was delicious, up there for some of the best wings we've had. The teriyaki was a tad too sweet for us - but dipping them in the buffalo sauce made them much better. The fries were nice and crispy. Planning on coming back to try their other flavors.
This has been one of my favorite place for a very long time. I don't get to go here as often as I use to and like to. But it still haven't change. The food is just as good.
I've been going to this restaurant for many years and consistency is the key to this restaurant's success. Great wings, good service and drinks, expect to wait for a table.
A longtime staple. Solid wings & fried /grilled food. Cash only, lines can be long. Clientele can be a-holes in the parking lot which is small at peak times. Pricing isn't as much of a deal as it used to be sooooo a bit of the charm is lost. I just do take away now a days and not as often since portion size shrunk but not the pricing. Certainly some fine food for a casual meal but all the time? Not for me as much as before, there are other wings that can compete with less hassle.
The waitress was a really nice the bartender was absolutely amazing he cared so much about how long we were waiting and wanted to make sure that we felt comfortable especially me because I was exhausted from a trip I just came back from
The food is so delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the beef burger and waffle fries. I always order delivery and my order never has problems and it always arrives hot. The staff here always go the extra mile. Quality establishment.
The way I received my food today through Uber eats I’m giving you guys a 1 star. My food was soggy because of the containers you use. I could not enjoy my food. Everything received was wet… I spent a lot of money. I won’t be ordering from here again
The wings are good. It’s more like a “hit or miss” but the service, “the service” sucks. No matter where, even for take out. Staff is very rude and racist specially the bar staff. No where it says kids are not allowed yet they look at you weird when you go with a kid even if you’re not sitting at the bar and it’s 2: 00PM. Place is horrible. I thought it was just a one time thing but this is every time I go that I notice something, even over the phone for take out. I will be definitely stop coming here.
Really small place. When you walk in, you put your name down on a sign in sheet for a table. The wings & Shoe strings fries are really good. Definitely worth going too. Chili was ok, basically a bowl of dry chop meat. There is 2 buildings, one is takeout only, the other is bar & dining room. The biggest thing is it’s CASH ONLY. We didn’t know that, & only had a limited amount of cash on us. There is a ATM in the Takeout only building. Not sure why the don’t accept credit cards & charge fee for using them.
Servers there are kind and friendly but you can’t make reservations and there’s always a wait and the restaurant does cash only. Food is good but it’s annoying having to sign a piece of paper and waiting around. And the wings are never crispy here
If you love finger food, you will love the wings at Candlelight Inn. Your face and fingers will have sauce all over them by the time you finish, but they are so good you won't even care. Besides, they leave a boat load of wet naps at the table to clean yourself up. The wings are big, and it's hard to finish even a small order. The atmosphere is quaint. Beautiful light wood tones that remind you of the countryside in the middle of Central Ave. A bustling strip of businesses and shopping. Candlelight is a nice place to kick back, chow down, have a beer and forget all the packages in your truck. They have other great selections from sandwiches, burgers, etc. Enjoy!
I ordered Buffalo wings and fries with cheese for pick up. The lady taking my order was rude and I immediately knew my order was going to be incorrect. I usually order cheese on my fries and get it as a sauce on the side. When I received my order they put three slices of sandwich cheese on my fries… I was confused. I was given no napkins or ranch for my wings. I would have paid extra if given the option. Not coming here again, it was so expensive for food we didn’t even get to eat.
