Great store.except for when they leave the security tag on your item and offer zero solution outside of you having to make a 2 hour trip back to the store to fix their mistake. Very frustrating.

Awesome been coming here for over 30years! Great service and always have all my dancers supplies. Great Staff! They go above and beyond to get customers what they need!

Our daughter needed tights for an audition which I thought we left home in Canada (we did find her tights tucked in the zippered pocket later).
Although the store had just about everything you might need, the staff were rude and condescending. A little smile goes a long way and I suggest they try to crack one sometime.

Poorer selection thank expected. Also, agree with the other comments on the poor customer service:
I found the hidden entrance only with the address in hand. The doorman in the lobby was super nice and showed me the way to the elevator. I came in to the store and was not greeted by a single soul, even though there were like 3 attendants by the cashier and another 2 by the shoes. I wondered about some products and must have looked confused or lost with questions. Even then nobody reached out to help me.
After a while some girls came by and they were promptly assisted. I guess if you don’t look like a ballerina or ballerina mom, you are invisible here.
To say the least, the best customer service was from the doorman in the lobby.

After driving an hour and 17 min in traffic, I got to the Capezio Store on Broadway. Prior to that I called over the phone to exchange a pair of tights and explained I didn’t have my receipt and was told if I had a profile they would be able to look it up. When I get to the store I was taken care of by Naijha who is the Assistant Manager. I explained the tights weren’t used. I just needed a bigger size. She went to the back and spoke to the Manager (Caroline) who allowed the exchange she said she was the manager, I told her the actual I manager not the assistant manager. She continued to give me a hard time and was rude. She said the tights were opened. I explained to her that she opened them herself the day I 1st purchased them. She finally allowed the exchange and pointed to the location for me to grab the other tights. I brought back the ones I was taking and then she’s still continues to tell me she can’t exchange them since they were opened after having me bring the other ones to the register. I asked her to bring the manager out. She proceeded with the exchange. When she was done she told me to take the tights. I said thank you and she didn’t respond. I told her “I said thank you” and she was very rude. She said “yeah ok and” I was genuinely thanking her. I told her not to be rude and said “she was from the Bronx”. Not sure what that meant. As I was telling her not to be rude she began to turn around looking up at the ceiling with her hand on her forehead being more rude and disrespectful. I called and asked to speak to the manager and explained to her what happened. The manager Caroline offered a 20% discount for my next shopping visit. I explained I didn’t need a discount but rather for her assistant manager to be addressed about the issue. I have been going into that store for 2 years because the employees are very kind and helpful. Having employees like the assistant manager is very unprofessional and will definitely have the store lose customers.

I came in looking for a pair of dance shoes — they certainly have a strong selection, although their sizes are limited at this time (which is understandable).

Another location had my size, so I requested to have those shoes shipped to this store for pickup.

Originally I was told they would arrive in a week, but they came in after two weeks. When I went to the store to pick my order up, I discovered that they had given me a different shoe completely — incorrect size and style.

Overall it was a fairly disappointing experience — I came to the store hoping to support the location, but in the future I will probably order on Amazon instead.

This store usually has what I need, but the customer service is subpar. I came in for shoes. When I got there I was NOT greeted by anyone and I sat unattended to for over 15 mins. There was one attendant in the shoe area and only one customer when I arrived. They didn't acknowledge my presence until after they were done with the person they were helping. Once they started helping me a white customer enter the shoe area. The attendant swiftly greeting them and asked them if they needed help. (So it is possible to multi-task.) If I were given the same courtesy I could have been in and out of the store in less than 15mins.

Fantastic customer service. I called around lunch time to confirm they had my size of tap shoes so I could pick up later in the day. They put aside three pairs (my size and half size up and down) so I could try them on to find the perfect fit before I bought them - ended up preferring the half size down. Helpful, friendly, great buying experience.
