Capital Region Welcome Center, Hannacroix NY

The only plus is the place is always very very clean. Especially the bathrooms. However every vending machine is managed by the Cornell cooperative and they are all broken. Sucks because the only form of drinks and nutrition are locked inside broken vending machines.

This is a very nice rest area and welcome center. Has restrooms and a convenience store as well as interactive displays and visitor information screens. I did not see any brochure racks. EZ on EZ off from northbound. I think it can be accessed from the southbound service plaza as well.

Nice new building but in order to keep it that way, it needs some serious cleaning and care, especially in the new bathrooms! Sink water to wash your hands, is just a trickle in a couple sinks, and towels are empty. New vending machines are out of order. Is anyone checking on these things? It’s a toll road And our tax dollars at “work”…
I never found where it’s connected to other restaurants, you can drive around and over the highway to get to some fast foods but cannot walk. But maybe I just missed where it’s connected
Beautiful out today, why would the awesome looking playground be closed today? Come to think about it, why would they ever be closed?

It's a great place to take a short stop to grab some food and drink, buy local products and find the whale theeth

Great Welcome Center. Clean, has a market and vending machine options for food.also has a playground for the kids.

I won't lie, I stopped to use the facilities. The building was beautiful. It was very nice to see some of NY's attractions on the walls as well as the pamphlets that were readily available. It was very clean and comfortable.

Super nice rest stop! Very clean and modern, bathrooms are really well kept. There's a really high quality outdoor playground but it's closed during winter months. There's also a huge "I Heart NY" sculpture to take photos in front of.

Food, bathrooms, electric charging (bring adapters if you have a Tesla), space for dog walking, 24/7.

Clean and quiet place to stop and use the restroom, stretch your legs and grab a quick snack. Easy off and on when going northbound on the thruway

It is a brand new place clean restrooms and a good clean restaurant. But It is like a modern welcome center with a touch screen and no specific person to help.

New York has upped it game at the rest stops. We hit two over Thanksgiving week as we traveled up to New England. They now have Chick-fil-A, up-scale coffee, food marts and clean restrooms. Thanks for making our traveling more enjoyable.

Great place to stop. NY state shop only. Full restcstop across the road. There is an overpass. Rest room is clean. Not busy.

Super nicely renovated with designated area to sit down to eat or relax.

There is a charging station for electric vehicles to recharge.

Really cool place. Definitely worth the stop. If you need to grab a snack on the road. I think the state needs to do a better job with maintenance. Garbage cans were overflowing and paper towels were out in the bathroom. The inventory for the food and drinks was well stocked though

Stopped to get something to drink for a break from driving and a brand new place, and two drink vending machines were out of service.
