Captain Bill's reviews
16The music and ride made for a fun experience. Unfortunately, the prime rib dinner was sub-par. The meat itself had no flavor, and carrots/potatoes tasted as if from the local highschool. Get the chicken tendies.
Didint take the tour this time. But we have in the past and loved it. Not sure why this showed up in my places.
Had a wonderful time, nice cruise and friendly crew. Wish we knew that the top deck which we reserved did observed did not have a cover.
It's always a pleasure to ride around Seneca Lake on Captain Bill's boat. Even though we've been doing this for several years, hearing the history of the region as we tour the lake is still interesting for us. It is a beautiful ride and well worth the time and money. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Watkins Glen. You might want to try the dinner cruise as well. Wonderful atmosphere and food.
No, just no. I was unable to eat the food. Too few choices. Why can't you get fish on a boat?
Did the Saturday night dinner cruise, dinner was excellent, service and entertainment were excellent also.
The surf and turf dinner was very good considering how many people they fed so quickly. Our only complaints are that our waitress was gone for almost 45 minutes after we got our dinner. Also, we were in a large group and while others had their tables spread 8 feet apart, ours were as tight as airplane seating. When the window seat went to the bathroom, everyone had to get up.
Could be a longer tour, but very enjoyable. No concessions but you can take on your own water bottles, etc. Staff is nice.
Food was terrible. They did not inform us the wine we ordered was not available and brought the significantly more expensive wine to the table. When the bill came they would not adjust bill stating that we approved the wine. Bad business practice. Save your $100 and go someplace better.
We had a very enjoyable experience with Captain Bill and his crew! It's very educational and relaxing even on a rainy day. We enjoyed the gift shop as well
We were group of 4 adult and 3 kids and had a great experience. They have upper deck which is open and lower deck which is close and AC. We did 1 hour sightseeing tour and we enjoyed it. They allowed you to carry drinks with you which is great. They also allowed stroller with us. On tour they would keep updating places around you. Definitely worth doing if you around the areas to know history and to explore lake.
We took the one hour tour on Seneca Lake and enjoyed it very much! The staff was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the location. It was an educational experience with beautiful views along the river. Well worth $25!
It has very nice view from the restaurant. The portion here is pretty big. I recommend the BBQ ribs. It’s really good. And love the bread
Plenty of good seating. Staff gave narrative of the lakes history and points of interest. Took the 3: 30 cruise which was 2/3 full.
My husband loves boat rides, I did think the lake is very bland and not actually much to look at on this tour.
We had a great experience. The view is amazing from upper deck. We did 1 hour sightseeing tour and we enjoyed it. They allowed you to carry drinks with you which is great. I would suggest if you are visiting in summer try to do evening cruise because upper deck gets hot. They also have AC main deck but it’s not worth to sit down.
We did 5: 30-6: 00 pm and it was sunny for first 15 minute but then it was amazing. I think this is the great way to enioy the beautiful view of lake Seneca.
