Caribbean Hair Salon, Medford NY

Do not go here if you have natural 4c hair, they do not know how to handle it properly. A lot of my hair was ripped out when the girl literally pulled my hair apart to “detangle” it, and she used a rat tail comb to comb through it. I would never recommend this place to anyone with my hair texture, especially if it needs to be detangled. Go to a hair salon with stylists that specialize in natural hair.

I called to make an appointment and I kept getting a run around. “I’ll call you back, call later” for literally two days. The name of the salon is “Caribbean hair salon” but doesn’t in fact do Caribbean hair styles

It was my first time at this hair salon and it was a lovely experience. From when I first got there, I explained I was unfortunately in a bit of a rush and that my hair has been in transition to natural for almost 2 years. They washed my hair, and did a wonderful treatment on my hair before washing it out. Due to limited time, I couldn't do rollers but the blow out was amazing! My hair was shiny, sleek, and felt healthy. They also did curls on my hair because I had a photoshoot and prepped them so I could get ready at home. I felt beautiful and can't wait to get the pictures back to update this review!

This week I got my hair extensions sewn in by Jerry. She did an absolutely amazing job. This is the second time I have gone to her and I am so pleased with the results! I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair done. She’s very talented!

It was awesome! I can't say enough about Jerry, the beautiful Ethiopian Queen that did my box braids. She was sooo nice, professional, efficient & fast. I came in with my hair partially knotted after taking out butterfly locs. Jerry did her magic & now my hair looks gorgeous! She is a master at her craft! I've been getting my hair done here for over 10 years now and there's a reason. The ladies are fast and excellent stylists. The prices are reasonable and they use very good hair products. I go early, sign in, and the wait time is short. Millie is always pleasant and does a wonderful job. The shop, even before COVID, is always clean. Overall, this is is a really great salon.
