I sold my car to carmax today and it was an extremely easy and pleasant experience. I did my quote online and scheduling an appointment was easy. I arrived an hour early and was helped immediately by Boice. He explained the process and everything went exactly as he said. I was given the same amount as the initial quote and he was even enthusiastic about the new car I’d purchased elsewhere. It was so reassuring because I was sad about leaving my car I’ve loved for years (I have an irrational attachment to my cars). I expected the offer to be reduced and a sales pitch for a different car. What I got was a calm, simple, logical transaction with no pressure. I’d recommend them to anyone.

After a year looking at Trucks locally I decided to check out CarMax on a recommendation of a friend. What a great experience. Took a couple months of looking but found the truck with the option packages I was looking for at a reasonable price. From finding to driving home the process was quick and simple. Including the shipping. The whole process took 6 days. The staff at the Rochester NY location was amazing and did a great job with the delivery. Definitely enjoyed the purchase experience and looking forward to many miles of driving

Carmax does not offer Gap insurance too New Yorkers so I guess if your car is totalled your stuck with the bill

I have been buying cars for my dealership for over 45 years and this place is the worst place to buy anything from! They sell cars without checking them and sell them as being 100% but cars major problems and will not stand behind them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! You will be sorry.

I’m not sure about the other negative ratings I’ve seen, but I had no issues at all. I had my Bronco shipped from Iowa to New York, since I was out of state the day my vehicle arrived carmax even reserved my vehicle inside for me until I got back. There was no damage at all and the vehicle was in immaculate condition. This vehicle was everything I was looking for and the price was very fair. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Everything was handled so smoothly.

I received a buy $ for my 300S on inline a few days ago. Today I took the vehicle to the Rochester facility to confirm what they would pay. Friendly welcoming as soon as I walked in, the process was smooth, ez and they offered me in writing exactly what the on line quote was. I have 7 days to decide if I want to sell it.
