CARSTAR Collision of Amherst

My experience has been a disappointment and frustrating.

I got into an accident and took my car to carstar; they are the recommended shop of my car insurance company, State Farm. The person who did my original estimate only included in the report a fraction of the work that would be needed, excluding items that were clearly visibly damaged. I called my insurance company after the estimate was completed to voice my concerns, fearing that my car would be totaled or I would end up having to pay more to fix the vehicle. Let me note my car is from 2002, yes it is very old, we were trying to get a few more years out of the car and have maintained the vehicle and it still ran perfectly, even after the accident.

We proceeded to take the car back to carstar to have the work done after I was reassured multiple times that the car would be fix and that we just needed to be prepared to pay our deductible.

Well, my fears were realized after the secondary claim, that included the majority of the work that needed to be done. They claimed the car a total loss. While we we knew that was a possibility after the original claim and multiple reassurances from State Farm after they spoke with the person responsible for the estimate we felt secure the car was going to be fixed. My frustration stems from the inaccurate estimate that was reported to State Farm to approve the work in the first place.

Once again, my car was operational other than the a/c. I could have had more time to purchase a replacement for the vehicle.

So, I am astonished that this is the preferred repair shop of State Farm. I will never recommend your business and pray that your other customers do not find themselves in a similar situation.

Weve used carstar a few times, they always do good work, the only thong i wasnt happy with is they didnt clean up the mess from the sanding, tire was caked with stuff and the trunk was full of sanding dust

I hit a deer around my left headlight area. They where very understanding and friendly keep me informed thought the whole process. Also they work with my insurance. The only problum I had was it took 2 months to take the car and a week before they start. Even with this, I still give them 5 star based on there customers service and end result. Just it will take some time before the car is fixed.

Extremely happy with service, guided and informed the entire time of my vehicle repairs and progress. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

I was told mid-February that they wouldn't be able to take my car in until March 13th, in which I agreed. I gave them the appraisal from the insurance company at that time. I stopped in on March 10th to see if they were ready, they said yes it was all set. I dropped my car off at 9: 45 a.m. On the 13th. I didn't hear anything for a week so I stopped in on the 20th, and I was told it would possibly be ready by Friday the 24th, but more realistically it would be ready on the 28th. I received a phone call on the 27th that it would be delayed until the 30th when it was finally done.
They did a good job, I just didn't expect it to take 18 days.

Poor attention to detail. I took my truck back for a second time for fine-tuning. I noticed only recently they had neglected to connect a four-wire harness for headlights and directional

I had them work on my car after an accident and somehow it came out looking even better than when it went in? ! This place is the best and everyone that works in there is just awesome! From the mechanics, to the front desk, to the body shop guys, to the fantastic team who actually FINDS the parts that you need.everything went smooth and i was updated literally every 4 days on what was happening! The woman on the phone are horrible they make excuses the workers are helpful but you you have to get pass costumer service

Had my Kia serviced here after theft with damage. Many delays, poor communication and unfixed damage. Told vehicle was completed but after paying deductible and seeing car with representative multiple obvious damages were unfixed. Only took vehicle because I had to turn vehicle in to get deal I had made for new car that had to be completed that day. Cost me more because of unfixed damage. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND CARSTAR TO ANYONE

From the moment our car was brought into the collision shop, we had the pleasure to deal with a very friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff, that kept us up to speed on the repairs being made and any delays. They did everything in their power to make it as painless of a process as they could and keep deadlines. They turned a stressful event into a manageable situation. Great job!

WOW! Talk about fantastic customer service, this establishment certainly has it mastered! Friendly people and great quality service. My car looks like new (even though it is 13 years old). I would highly recommend them.

A neighbor backed into my parked car. The driver’s door and the passenger’s door behind the driver’s door both needed repair.

We have used this shop twice now. Both times have been great. They did an excellent job and worked well with our insurance provider.

I recently used this company. At first I was very annoyed because they have very unrealistic hours in a working world for an estimate. Estimator only works till 3 when most people work past that hour. But when I finally got it in they did a great job. Had my car back quick

Very pleasant service after an accident. The inspector was thorough and the ladies at the front desk were helpful when. I had to fill out the necessary paperwork and when I had to go back and clean out my vehicle after it being totaled out. Would definitely go to them again.

Super impressed by the work done at CarStar Amherst! They did an awesome job matching my bumper replacement and Valencia orange paint matching! My 2015 looks brand new! Highly recommend CarStar Amherst for your collision work!

Very honest about time requirements and regularly talk with you about time and needs via text if you allow. Kind employees that are respectful.

Left one of my old pieces (a part that was replaced) in the back seat, unsure why. They didn’t do work in the back of the car, but some items that I left in the trunk were moved to the back seat.

Car was in for repair from a car accident. Girls at front desk were very helpful. Ken at Carstar was polite and courteous. Was very pleased with repair of car. Answered all questions. I would recommend this business to anyone.
