**I normally don’t post reviews, but this was a must. ** If you want subpar service and horrible customer service, then this cleaning company is for you. If I could give negative stars, I would! Janie could not be any worse of an owner/service provider. At the second scheduled appt, she arrived 40 minutes late and left within the hour. She did not complete the service as agreed upon during the first visit. I simply requested that she move items on the vanity and kitchen counter as they were missed during the first visit. Instead of addressing the issue, she became defensive. She was rude and highly unprofessional towards me and my family. Just like her unprofessionalism, her work was also subpar. She neglected to attempt to remove mildew and soap stains along the bathroom (see pictures). She informed me that she “tried” to clean the bathroom; however, when I cleaned it using Lysol bathroom cleaner, the mildew and the stains were removed. When I emailed the company about my concerns and frustrations toward the service provided, Janie responded to the email by denying further cleaning services to the home. Isn’t that excellent customer service for you? !? I would never recommend this company. Stay away!

I can't say enough positive things about Janie and Castle Services. I live in the Albany area and my very independent (and stubborn) 83 year old mother lives in the house she bought 53 years ago. Recently she got a compression fracture in her back and finally agree to let me have some people help her. She was very hesitant at first and I was also, as she has some memory impairment and is very leary of letting strangers in her home. Janie not only made me feel at ease with the emails that we sent back and forth, my mother LOVES her! She keeps mentioning her when we talk on the phone and can't wait until she comes back. The company's work is excellent (and Mom's house needed attention desperately - Mom would fight me on trying to help her) and I am thrilled. Janie was so kind to Mom and her two cats. This is a very, very strong recommendation to hire Castle Services - you will not regret it.

Castle was very responsive when I needed a cleaning before having family visit for a memorial service. The cleaning was very thorough. I will have them clean my house every month from now on.

Restored my faith in contractor help. Called Rich in to help with a leaking expansion tank on our hot water system and he turned up as he said and got the job done - no fuss no drama. Then jumped onto an electrical problem I had and same thing. Job well done. Great guy, great service, great value. Will use this service again.

Just a great company - now live alone and so thankful to have them to count on for house problems and projects (bath redo the latest!). Rich is truly a guy with his team who will take on nearly any project inside and out! Excellent quality and very reasonable. They treat clients like family!

Castle Services provides the most professional customer support I've experienced in the area. They are responsive, thorough and knowledgeable.

RIch came out and replaced a toilet for us. The bolts rusted to the point they needed to be cut and we could not do it ourselves without buying new tools. Rich was extremely nice, befriended our dog and did great work! He even took all the empty boxes from the new toilet away as well as the old toilet. He was extremely professional and deserves 5 stars or more. We will use Castle Services of Ithaca for all our plumbing needs from here on out:)

I've been a client of Castle for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. The crew is reliable and professional and highly skilled at what they do. I like their flexibility as my schedule and needs can be tricky. The rates are certainly in line with other such services. I highly recommend Castle.

Right from the start and throughout the entire project Castle did an outstanding job communicating. They asked questions and offered suggestions for resolving our plumbing project. Prior to their arrival I asked for some additional work, which Rick came prepared and took care of everything in one visit. Rich showed up on time, shared insights on how to save money, and quickly took care of each project.
We had one minor issue with the plumbing after Rich left and he returned promptly the next morning to resolve the issue.
We wish we had found Castle Services prior to now as they are efficient and communicate well, which we have not found with any previous contractors. Great Job!

We got a referral from a friend about Rich and the high quality work he's done at her house. We had a plumbing issue at our kitchen sink. He came right over to assess the situation. We needed to buy a new faucet and he came right over the next day and installed in and replaced some corroded pipes. He said, "If there's any issues, please let me know and I'll make it right. " There is a slight drip - no emergency - and he'll be coming over in a couple of days to fix it. We are impressed!

We're very happy to recommend Castle Services. Rich recently installed a screen door in our home. This is the third one we've had for that entryway, the first two being installed by other contractors, and Rich did the best job by far. We couldn't be happier with the work he did for us. Rich and Jane are great people and a pleasure to do business with, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.

Castle Services has responded to all of my in home repair needs. I have an older home and have had a variety of odd jobs and repairs. I receive a response in a timely manner. Usually within the hour and schedule a time for the repair. The quality and responsiveness is excellent! I would recommend Castle Services to anyone!

We love Castle Services! It's so very wonderful to have our house cleaned, and the cleaner is always very nice and puts up with our mess. They're very responsive and always get back to me within the day if I call in. On the handyman side, Rich has fixed a number of things in our house. They communicate well and always show up when they say they're going to. I can't say enough good things!
