Catholic Charities' Samaritan Center, Elmira NY

Where my family had me homeless the Samaritan Center put a roof over my head I think them for that

Thank you to all the staff at LaFrance apartments for making the best of the holidays for the ones that don't have anybody it's very much appreciated

The reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is because they are rude and disrespectful when it comes to the homeless community when I asked for 6 bus tokens it's because I need to get across town for my appointments and they wrote me up because I abuse them in there words (your not supposed to use the bus token to go visit your husband or go to court) that lady is lucky I didn't yell at her but I kept my cool she needs to just not be a Receptionles

Very helpful if you're experiencing homelessness. Food pantry is also great when you need the extra help. Would definitely recommend

They help with many things like food, housing and also the First time homeowners program. Might I add they are hiring.

They are rude, don't care if your homeless, they talk about you. They don't give you all of your mail. Make you pay if your make too much money but yet you are homeless to pay for a house because the rent is too high. If you are code blue they send you out of county and say that they can't give you gas money, they need better help and better services. Steuben county is better and nicer.

Reception Staff rude but they do deal with a lot of BS. They try to help those in need but with limited resources and a large need in the community they find themselves turning many in need away.
