My primary care doctor is at Catholic health. I have sent him many messages on my chart I have spoken to his assistant and nurses.
But it has been about 3 months almost 4 that I heard from him. It says you should hear from them with 48 hours not 48 weeks or months.
I realize I need to find a new PCP.
The thing is I am very distressed with the tremendous hair loss which I showed the doctor in November and it has gotten worse. My liver tests and blood tests were super high. The only thing he could tell me was to lose weight.
I gained 3 pounds when I saw him and I told him it was my medicine and I asked for brand medicine. That is when he cut me off.
Am I going to die of liver disease? What is going on with my fatigue and hair loss? All are signs of liver disease and my liver tests have been high for a year. They are also signs of thyroid disease, I have Hashimoto's but the tests were normal. But I have read tests can be normal and you can still have thyroid problems. But my tests for liver were not normal and were flagged on my tests.

He nor anyone at the office have addressed this at all.
My husband is willing to pay cash to see a good doctor but we don't have one yet.
He is soft spoken and not abusive but that doesn't help me. I might die due to his neglect. Not sure what is going on with my liver but it started when he started me on that generic medicine. I am very distressed. He is not in Rockville center though he is at another location.

Can’t find a website for the Valley Stream location but I was being examined by Dr Desai when all of a sudden he answered his cell phone and began texting someone. Is this what they call “putting our patients at the center of everything “? That type of patient care is despicable!

This is specific to the MMC OB Center. If you are pregnant and are looking for the best care, please do not visit here. You and your child deserve quality service and care and you will not get it here. The staff handled my miscarriage horribly. It was evident from my first visit that I had already experienced loss. They had me visit daily, which now I know was to increase the number of billable visits. Don’t get me started on the billing department! The bedside manner was ridiculous. After the fetus passed, I had to go in for blood work and the nurse asked “why are you here? You’re not pregnant, ” my notes clearly indicated that I just had a pregnancy loss. I could go on about the numerous missteps but this is already a long review. I implore you do your research and look for OB professionals elsewhere.

Dr. Rutman is repugnant and grossly unprofessional. He does not share the appropriate values associated with any organization claiming to be based in the ethics, morals or values of a "Catholic Health Service. " His priveledges with any proper organization must be revoked!

Dr. Putnam in the ER, is a disgrace to all helping professions. He is arrogant, verbally abusive to patients, lacks proper empathy, derides individuals on Medicaid and states they should, "work harder" and "make something of themselves". So they may drive a vulgar and ostentatious car like him! He is entirely incompatable, in every ppossible way, with the ethics, values, mission and vision of "Catholic Health Services".
He should immediately be stripped of this affiliation!
St. Charles Hospital will keep its rather poor reputation if they are foolish enough to keep such incompetence and unprofessionalism on staff.

I was in the emergency room waited for two hours never got seen I’m having symptoms of Covid a guy came out and said it’s not first come first served so basically if your not dying you are not getting seen or if your symptoms are not a emergency you will be there for hours I’m having chest pain’s I been throwing up chills headache etc and I asked the Security why is it that I been here for two hours and I have not been seen yet and people coming after me are being seen he told me to have a seat and wait so I walked out because it’s absolutely not fair that the staff is nasty and rude if I write down my symptoms of Covid why can’t I get seen the nurse at the head desk took a guy temperature in the waiting room but there are people sitting there I couldn’t breathe my chest hurt but yet it’s not come first come served but ever person after me was able to be seen at least but I will be back if I don’t get seen I will write another bad review thanks for nothing back home still with symptoms after sitting in your emergency room for 2 hours

If we could give no stars we would!
Poor communication, poor delegation and quality of care from management, many excuses and always a “I am so sorry”, we had to call exuberant amount of times for all areas of service assigned for follow through, we always had our paperwork in and on time with confirmations we always heard”we never received it” we were exposed to COVID by a home staff member who refused to get the Covid shot! Many I call verbal Game playing and untruths with information and schedules set up. We finally went with another agency after several months of frustration. We loved our aide! So wonderful and had the same one from the beginning! Some nurses ok and many horrible! I would never recommend Catholic Health to anyone who needs home services!

Like another reviewer said, the billing department is a horror. They bill the wrong insurance and then send you a threatening letter that you have to straighten it out. I have learned that they are all about the money. Spiritual and emotional support is of little importance to them. A palliative care NP billed $708 for a 1/2 hour phone conversation. Are you serious? They do have some great doctors in their network, but the organization as a whole leaves a lot to be desired.

They are SUPER paranoid about the virus and have a Chinese style check in process where they take your temperature! This is called the China method. Watch the Epoch Times. Those who started Epoch Times and TV are Chinese who came to the US for freedom.
Anyway this review is mainly for the billing department. They are unethical and from all of the bad reviews it is clear the higher ups approve otherwise the billing department would not have many bad reviews all saying the same thing!
The doctor we have is good. The people who take your blood are very professional! The billing department must not Catholic and are certainly not professional!

I called the doctor to fill a prescription. They immediately rush me to speak to the Doctor that the Doctor wanted to speak to me. They did not inform me that talking to the Doctor was going to be almost 400.00. It was not even a video call, only a casual conversation. No pressure taken or blood. I was going for my physical in a couple of months. However, in a couple of weeks they sent me the bill, the insurance only paid 80, and they are sending me for collection for the balance ($300). Very unfair, unprofessional, fraudulent and mal practice protocols. They are just trying not only to rip of the patient, but the insurance companies as well. No wonder our insurance bills are so high.

Multiple nightmare experiences with the billing dept. I was billed erroneous charges by my CHS doctor that insurance would not pay. No one there was able/willing to help clear up the issue and they sent me to collections. Same story when my CHS doctors office billed the wrong insurance even after calling multiple times to tell them they were billing us wrong, AND our insurance company calling them to tell us they were billing it wrong, they sent us to collections. The issue is still unresolved and no one at CHS seems to care. AVOID CHS at all cost!

I was highly disappointed to leave the Babylon office and wait a week for results from a urine culture I thought was taken (as I was told it would be by Dr. Downing) to then call for my results and be told that they were never taken. I take my health very seriously as anyone would; this year has been a very difficult year for everyone due to COVID and on top of that I have health issues I've been battling. Each day counts; every week I'm going to doctors for testing or waiting on results. With that being said, to be waiting over a week for results that weren't even taken and to have the doctor apologize and state he isn't sure why that happened is not acceptable. We put our health in the hands of our doctors and every person's health matters and should be taken seriously. If a conversation was had about taking a urine culture and a patient leaves the office awaiting results for a week then I would expect a urine culture to be sent out in order to properly attend to the patient's health needs. Whether it be the fault of the doctor or the staff, no patient should have to wait on a test that wasn't even taken. When it comes to your health, every day matters and each day is a chance to turn your health around. It is unacceptable, disheartening and makes me feel as though my health wasn't a priority. There should not be any miscommunication or misunderstandings when it comes to a patient's health. Clearly, a patient needs to be their biggest advocate because some doctors do not take their health as seriously as they should.

I rushed my wife to Good Sam hospital because she had difficulty breathing. Everyone there took over and in a week she was back home. She told me that she was treated beautifully, with care and smiles
