Causeway Bait & Tackle, Wantagh NY

This place is great. I Went yesterday for the first time. I got crabs and stuff and prices are really good. They are fully stocked and very polite. They all welcomed us and even told us where to fish and to be safe. I will def be going to the shop more and more since I found it. Hard to find places like this. The date was Saturday November 18th. 2023. I don't write reviews but had to on this shop.

These guys are very decent, and know a lot about fishing. They have good bait and a deceptive large amount of stuff in their store. Good folks!

Even though I have been fishing for over 50 years, I still consider myself a novice. I find that I actually learn a few things when I come in.

They ripped me off by filling my reel with 70% mono and only 30% braided line. Be careful when buying braided lines from them and asking them to put it in your reel!

I’ve been to a number of bait shops on the south and north shore and nothing compares to causeway bait and tackle. They are the ultimate professional tackle store.
