Mediterranean Restaurant CAVA reviews
21I ate at cava for the third time and at this time I ate the food on Wednesday October 6 at night 7: 10pm after eating there I got seek and right after I vomited i thought it was because I ate a little more than usually but when I looked at the mirror I saw my face all red I’m not sure if I’m not sure what it was but this happened to me so 3 for this experience the food was good but I don’t know what it was allergies of something that I don’t know ️
One word: YUM. You literally cannot go wrong here, every thing in the lineup is good. I especially love the sweet potatoes for the protein option (vegetarian option, of course). Wonderful healthy option for lunch OR dinner and service is always quick!
The place was nice and clean, which is a great start for first impressions.
You either pick from their curated small menu, which is simple to reconfigure and substitute food items, or build it yourself-pick your vegetables, pick your starch, pick your garnish, pick your sauce (s). If you've been to Subway, you know the drill. If it's your first time, go with their menu instead, which you won't regret any of them.
Their ingredients were fresh, pickles we're crunchy and well. I wish their single scoop of hummus or fried pita chips garnish were a little more generous, which is simply my preference.
Slowest service ever. Do not order online for pick up because you will be waiting extra 40 minutes. They take care of line customers first. I ordered online and waited 45 minutes for my order to be ready. Might as well stand in line and be out in 10 minutes. Will never order from them again.
The staff is horrible, they don't know how to treat the customer. The place was super dirty. The food looked like it was two days on the trays. Very unpleasant.
I love CAVA but this store always leaves me feeling disappointed. Don't know who manages it but they need to get it together. Lunch time is PEAK time. They know this but service is SUPER SLOW and the store is packed with people whom are not wearing masks BTW or social distancing. I got charged a bag fee when I brought my own bag. Cashier was clueless as he was all alone and overwhelmed. Everyone at this store needs retraining. Mistakes happen, I get it but having delicious food pairs well with excellent customer service. Food was good at least but I think my days of supporting this particular store are over.
This location consistently closes earlier than its 10pm closing time (e.g. I stopped in at 9: 40pm only to be told they’re closed).
Food is great just wished they didn't serve you up so much attitude. Must be those heavy eyelashes making her tired and cranky!
I have tried other CAVA stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn. My to-go store was the S. Park avenue location before pandemic. I like their half greens and half grains option. Customer service, portion, and taste, the S. Park Avenue store is the BEST!
Great bowl of salad and grain with protein and toppings of your choice. The juices they have are very nice and refreshing.
Go there pretty regularly. Was there this later afternoon and I the only customer at the time. One of the cashier short change me and I asked for her. I don’t even care if she I apologize or not, instead of getting bad attitudes and ignorances.
Used their online ordering option and it was super easy to use and convenient. When I walked in the store my food was ready to go and I was in and out in seconds. Food was delicious. Only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is they forgot to give me my side of pita bread.
Although pretty much every experience I've had with CAVA has been very positive, this one was very different, my girlfriend and I were driving around the city and decided to make a pick up order for this location and eat our food in the car. I walk in and pick up my order, back at the car we start eating (we shared a bowl) and I notice that they forgot the serving of chicken in my order, relieved that we didn't end up taking the food back home I walk back into CAVA and let them know of the situation, the cashier reviews my food and partners with the person who's responsible for prepping the food the prepper in disbelief says outloud "this can't be they must've picked it out"
(note that it barely totaled 5-minutes between myself picking up the order, getting into the car, maybe having 2-bites of the food, noticing the chicken was not there, and walking back into the CAVA location)
The cashier appears to shrug off what the prepper says and insists on remaking my bowl, not wanting to waste food I insist that instead I'd rather the missing serving of chicken instead, ultimately the cashier decided to give me 2-servings of chicken to make-up for all the trouble which in all honesty is what prevented this review from being 1-star.
The reason for this review being as low as it is, is of course due to the prepper not acknowledging their mistake and instead blaming it on the customer, sure I understand that there's probably dirtbags who do this often, but you should assume positive intent and not ruin another's experience by invoking negativity especially when it's a simple mistake that could be corrected without that type of attitude, hopefully that prepper can take this critical feedback and grow from it.
The following information is just for the Staff Teams reference, my order was placed on 02/15 with a designated pick up time for 8: 15PM the order was picked up at approximately 8: 25PM.
Brandon is one of the hardest working kid I've seen. Even though my meal was a little late today at 1pm (wasn't his fault) he was the only one hustling and moving up and down the line making sure everyone gets the order. He deserves a raise Cava.
Outstanding fast casual like Chipotle, but with Mediterranean food. The juices are always amazing, worth a stop just for that alone. Drinking some ginger lime tumeric as we speak. A solid pick when you're hungry and in a rush. Lots of vegetarian options.
If you have never eaten at one of CAVA's many locations you owe yourself to try it out. Great tasting healthy food done right and served fast!
Chipotle / Subway style "build your own" pita, salad or grain bowl. REALLY good taste, a little on the expensive side for the amount of food. Two people, no sodas or teas, large pita and salad was $23. Clean and fast, though.
Had meatballs for the protein. Overall taste is good but portion is small. And the meatballs were overwhelmingly citrusy.
I like Cava. It can be difficult to find good falafel but they've got it here and their drinks are great, too. I just don't like when my food makes me feel sick or when my meat is somehow completely forgotten in my pickup order and I'm basically left with nothing but sauces in a pita. How does that even happen? Truly disappointing.
I love more of this menu than Made Nice and Dig Inn which are also solid similar lunches. Such a quality lunch option. Depending on how hungry you are this lunch could also second as a snack right before you hop on your evening commute. I've had a handle of lunch options from here and every single one was delicious. Everything is made freshly and smells so good.
