Nurse Robin has the worst bedside manner and should have never been a nurse practitioner. Every time I’ve interacted with her she spoke down to me and refused to give me an appointment despite me desperately telling her this was an emergency. I called back and got a different nurse to get me in the very next day. Robin called me again a few days after my tests and let me know they came back negative. This was concerning for me as I don’t know what’s going on with my health and refused to let me talk to a real doctor. She hung up the phone before I was done asking questions and was extremely dismissive of all my concerns.

Cayuga Family Medicine is excellent, in my opinion. I have been seen by two clinicians there over the years, and both very helpful, and thorough. My advice with any medical office: Take a book.things come up, and the clinician may be tied up in order to properly care for a patient. Arrive 15 minutes early.many people arrive at the time of appointment, and by the time vitals, weight, vision, etc.is done, the appointment is half gone. If you want to get in and out fast, schedule an early morning appointment. When coming in with an issue.keep it to one issue. Many patients think the clinician has enough time to deal with 5+ issues.wrong! Pick the most pertinent issue. Make sure you have a thorough history, as the history is 80% of the diagnosis. Most clinicians have 15 minutes for each appointment. It is a grueling schedule! Medicine is an art.not an exact science. Take responsibility for taking care of yourself, and understanding what you need to do for preventive medicine. Know your meds, the dose, and why you are taking them. Take a roll in your care.be proactive. Doctors, NP's, and PA's are doing the best they can. They aren't walking medical encyclopedia's, they are humans with a solid knowledge base. Be thankful for their service.

FAILEDFAILEDFAILED DO NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION FROM Dr Benjamin Kornblum if you are VERY VERY SICK You may not make it out alive. My Man John D. M. Nelson went in VERY SICK, (trouble/labored breathing, not sleeping, barely eating or drinking AND lost 50lbs in 1.5 months) day after his 51st Bday. They did a regular check-up (I'm assuming) and blood work and sent him home with a NICOTINE INHALER and a sonogram appt. 2 wks later. Ultrasound Tech was VERY INSISTENT that we call his Dr. (Kornblum) in a HOUR because they will either want to SEE John ASAP or SEND him to the ER and to"prepare for a hospital stay"she said. So we called. I explained to Nurse what tech said and was told she would talk to Dr. No call back that day (Thurs 9/21/22) I believe Fri.received a call FROM NURSE saying"SLUDGE in GALLBLADDER, *IF* in lots of pain go to ER to get ball rolling QUICKER for surgery. No URGENCY there. RIGHT? ! I mean PAINFUL? Absolutely. But NOT LIFE THREATENING. John was hesitant in going, I don't blame him who WANTS to go to ER and be admitted? Sat? Or Mon? Nurse calls asked if we went, "Not yet he's stubborn"I said AGAIN no urgency from her. Next day she calls, trying to help me get him to go. Long Story Short We lost John 1 mth after his 51st Bday. I STRONGLY BELIEVE that Dr. Kornblum is at LEAST PARTIALLY, if not COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE for John's death. WHY weren't bells & whistles going off in Dr.s head? !? I % STRONGLY BELIEVE John would still be with us here on Earth if we were sent to hospital a WHOLE MONTH PRIOR, after initial appt with Dr Kornblum. And until proven otherwise? I will tell anyone who listens the EXACT SAME THING!
STAY AWAY FROM CAYUGA FAM Dr OFFICE SPECIFICALLY Dr Kornblum

If you have an appointment plan on clearing out the whole day. Wait times to be seen is over an hour. I take my elderly mother to her doctor at this location and many times she’s had to leave because it’s takes too long to be seen. It’s a shame this office doesn’t have better time management. I will be looking into another office for her.

We have been with CFM since my first daughter was born in 2012. We trust the doctors here and they have been great with our children. Dr. Loehr takes time to listen to your questions and concerns. We have been going here for 10 years and we have no complaints.
