Mediterranean Restaurant Cedar reviews
14Best shawarma I've had in my life! The rest is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Easily THE BEST Mediterranean food in Rochester. Food is seasoned so incredibly well compared to other places.
Cedar is essentially a takeout place with places to sit if you feel like eating in. I took what a big chance for me: ordering a gyro.
When I was in college, there was a place (that is now closed.) that made the best gyros I've ever eaten - and every gyro I've ever eaten since has been compared to those gyros and found lacking, even disappointing. I've purposely avoid ordering one for years out of fear it would just be another unenjoyable experience. Until now!
Juicy, tender, well-seasoned lamb, tomatoes at their peak, a feta cheese sauce with some fresh and some pickled veggies. The best part was the fresh pita bread that was lightly toasted.
You'd be hard pressed to find better food for the money. The restaurant is not fancy, but the food is delicious, with fast and friendly service. One of my options for a warm and hearty weeknight bite.
Their fresh, homemade pita bread is the best you will ever have. This is our fav Mediterranean restaurant in Rochester. Their homemade hummus is really good too. Humble atmosphere, just a few tables, but their food is delicious and authentic. I'm just crazy about their grilled chicken and "Combo" salad plate. I get it almost once a week. Sooo good.
I have been coming here for lunch about once or twice a week.
I get either the shawarma pita or plate.
The food is amazing. I love coming here.
Bread is always hot and fresh. If you get a pita, they load it with meat and it's always ready in a couple minutes.
If you're looking for authentic Lebanese cuisine, this place does not disappoint!
Thank you to the folks at Cedars!
This place is amazing! The shawarma and gyro is fantastic and their fresh pitas are the best thing ever. Buy extra pitas! Seriously, if you eat carbs, order extra. They make them right in front of you and they are the warmest most pillowy things ever.
Not a ton of ambience. Don't need it though. There's not clean or classy way to eat this stuff. Works grass for take out too.
The food is pretty amazing here and the service is one of a kind. They have a wonderful menu selection and their prices are very reasonable too.
Falafel was dry and crumbeled like dry cornbread. The pita had no sauce. Very disappointed. Leftovers are uneditable
I never write reviews. This place is the real deal. I have tried most of the mediterranean places in town and while I do enjoy most of them for different reasons, Cedar has mastered several things. The falafel - unbelievable. So light and crisp at the same time with incredible flavor. The homemade pita and smooth baba ganoush are unreal. Just go!
Unbelievable food, just delicious, reasonably priced, friendly staff, I've had plates and I've had pitas, I've had the beef the lamb and the chicken in the past, just amazing, they make their own pita bread and it's the best I've ever had in my entire life. Nothing compares. Mediterranean food done right and done well.
The food is pretty freaking amazing here and the service is one of a kind. I highly recommend trying them out when you have a chance.
Cedar is an amazing Mediterranean restaurant. The homemade pita is incredible. The prices and the rest of the food was fresh and delicious. I got the falafel and grilled chicken.
You can never have a bad choice at Cedar. The Pitas are the best anywhere in Rochester, though. Sooooo good!
