Cerveceria Havemeyer reviews
125-out of-5 does not do this place justice. I came here thrice a week when I lived nearby. I celebrate all my life victories here. The margaritas are to die for. The tacos are even better. And they even take credit cards now. Warra establishment.
My friend and I were walking around West Village and came across this place. They had great birria tacos and drinks! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot in this area! Cindy, our server, was very sweet and helpful too!
Came for a drink and a bite. Had mezcal drink with hibiscus tea. Quite stiff and nice. Enjoyed it. My friend got bordia tacos he said were fine. I got nopal and rajas patata? Weird combo it tasted like an Indian vegetable pepper and potato. Decent. May not go back but cute place and setup. Had a positive energy and aroma to it. VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY. A few options still.
Love this place! The staff is superr friendly, especially Inés, she made me the best spicy margaritas everrr? Hope to come back soon
Very decent Mexican fare, but the service was bizarre/indifferent/reluctant. Hopefully an off night.
This seems like a cool place for happy hour drinks, but when we came we were hoping for a good Mexican breakfast and were super disappointed. I don't like to leave negative reviews so I'll just say that the food was not good at all. The waiter was very nice though.
We sat at the bar for drinks and food. The bartenders were great. We loved the margs and mezcal shots! Plus super tasty and crispy tacos. We are coming back for sure! Thanks!
We went on Cinco de Mayo and can only guess they were really struggling with the crowds that evening. The wait was very long and they seated people randomly, for example several tables who arrived after us were seated before us. Our table wasn't clean when we were seated, they kept forgetting our orders or gave us the wrong order, and our bill wasn't correct when it finally arrived. Lots of other tables near us kept sending their bills back as well.
The shambolic night aside, at the end of the day, the food itself was just OK. It was definitely the worst meal we had on our NY trip food quality wise. But we did enjoy the buzzing atmosphere and staff were very apologetic.
The tacos were pricey for the portion size and quality. The seating looks like the tables at a school cafeteria. You might have to share the table with other patrons or you might be rushed to leave to make room for the larger party.
The food was amazing. Especially the guac and the papas and rajas taco. All condiments were made in house and were out of this world. Our runner (or maybe he was another waiter) was super knowledgable and attentive.
My husband and I went here spontaneously. We were hungry and waiting for our reservations for our date so we stopped here because the outside looked interesting and tucked away. I'm so, so glad we did. The Bartender/manager/waiter, is just a breath of fresh air. Super personable and gives very detailed descriptions of what you are eating. The aquachile is just, wow. The food was out of this world. And if you want some delicious mezcal, ask him for it! The design of the place is really cute and the tables are all made from recycled bowling alleys. Overall, 10/10 and I cannot wait to go back.
A chill spot with good tacos. The starters were all good also. The tacos are served “family style” with a rack of toppings to add to the tacos. I recommend the taco with mango habanero, it was soooo good.
