This spot has incredible patties. I prefer them to their competition up the street, Kingston’s. They are flaky and butter incredible goodness.

Last week, I came in to buy hardo bread for my son. They store only accepts cash, which I did not have. The lady at the counter pointed me to ATm, but I could not find my bank card. I asked her if I could Zelle, and she said no.
She called me closer and asked the bread I wanted, I told her and she told me to take it and I could pay them later.

I go to that store often, but I doubt she knows who I am. She was just being a kind person.

I bought a slice of sweet potato pudding today and it was the most disgusting tasting pudding I've ever had. It was soft, tasteless and nothing Jamaican about it. I wasted the trip from Connecticut. No taste of coconut, sugar and spices seems like they made it with the American sweet potato. Bad choice.

Lovely bakery with kind, friendly shop keeps. Shrimp dumplings are perfect. Coconut machines is amazing. Leaf wrapped rice, always scrumptious

The Bullar was full with ginger one week and the next week it tasted so good. The bread pudding had liquor and was full of ginger they need to keep consistent with the recipes.

It's not like it used to be. The sugar buns don't taste the same & they were dry even though they claimed they were just baked. The bread was fresh. The patties aren't the best but the coco bread is good. Maybe I went on an off day but they are definitely not like how they used to be regarding quality.

I have been buying my beef Patties here for years and today I brought beef Patties which was NOT THE SAME AT ALL! I sat outside to eat my patty and had to look at the place just to make sure it was the right place. The beef Patties they sell before was flaky and a absolutely delicious similar to how real Jamaican beef Patties are made. These that I got today is DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME! I am very saddened and disappointed because I would drive all the way from Westchester County just to get my Patties here. Now o don’t know where I will go because I definitely will not be going here anymore.

I went in to purchase slices of black cake but was told that they were only selling the whole cake at the time, so I instead purchased other items and when it came time to check out, the cashier didn’t have change in the register and instead of her being customer service oriented. She gave me back less amount due then what was owed to me.

Second, the Irish moss drink I bought from champion was watery in consistency, and tasted horrible like milk with lots of sugar. The peppered shrimp sold for $3.50 were only 3 shrimps, how disgusting this bakery is. I will never return or support champion bakery ever again.

Love their bread! I always go after 5: 30 because because that’s when they put out hot steaming bread

Beef patties here are ok.nothing like a tastys jamaican beer patty. Their pepper shrimps are delicious.they just lack the typical red color

Bad customer service February 5th 2022 I went to get bread, one of the server was very rude, she throw my money at me. I will never go back there ever. Owner needs to give her training on customer service.

Like buying bread there some times the wait time for bread is too long the last I was there I waited 30min for a few bread.

I've had a TERRRRIBLEEE experience at this place its a bunch of elderly people with an attitude. All of them act like they run the place with that bad customer service, yelling and embarrassing people and have no patience people just skip and its a bad area the ONLY good thing about them is just their bread thats it. They're all broke old people with a miserable life and attitude problem. And they need to be HUMBLED!

Bread in here is fresh and smells wonderful. The patties are excellent. This place is highly recommended! More than likely if your traveling and get close to there you'll smell the fresh coco bread and other breads that's made there.

Been going to this bakery since I was a toddler! Best baked pastries, bread, and patties in the Bronx!

Besides the older woman at the counter who had a bit of an attitude, everyone else was so sweet, their breads are to die for and not to mention the Easter buns omg, it brought back a feeling of nostalgia when I was a child in jamaican on Easter time, I definitely would recommend this bakery big up to the men and women who makes these delicious pastries.
