Charlie the Butcher's Kitchen reviews
17 Yummy food. The weck sandwich was great and the sweet potato fries were excellent. Crunchy outside and soft inside. Was given butter and honey with them, but I didn't use.
The desserts were too sweet so I just tasted.
Prices were ok. Menu pics are 1 or more dollars less than current prices. Think I paid 7.99 for the weck.
Great place, did was so good. Ordering was in a line, then right to check out. Then out the door.
Took my Texan friend to eat, and he gave the beef a thumbs up - happy to see Buffalo still does something right
From what I remember fun years past they would puke on the beef. This last time I visited I was disappointed. There was hardly any beef on my beef on weck. Tasted good just not what I remembered.
Food was amazing, best beef on weck I've had! The roast beef was cooked perfectly. Definitely the place to go if you're visiting the area and want to try some local eats!
If you decide on Charlie the Butcher's enter with some degree of tolerance. This is because the young lady behind the register lacks any kind of tact or humility. I would even say she was rude.
On a positive note. The Roast Beef on
Kimmelweck was amazing, and the master Carver that served it to me was very kind and friendly.
Charlie's lost out on a 5 star revue only due to one individual on their team.
Would I return too Charlie's. YES.
Would I recommended Carlisle's. Yes.
One of best beef on weck sandwiches available in Buffalo. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 restrictions, they were doing take-out only. Unpretentious, but excellent food. Save room for the homemade desserts!
Prime rib on Thursday is where it's at... Quality, delicious. A little pricey but worth it.
This place was recommended to me for lunch. I stopped and got a couple sandwiches before heading to the airport and it didn’t disappoint. Fresh Beef sliced right in front of you and food was out quickly. Quality was above expectations.
Just moved to Buffalo and this is the best place I’ve eaten at so far. Loved getting to try the famous ‘Beef on Weck. ’ It was absolutely delicious! We also took home some of the best brownies I’ve ever had as well. Definitely will be back!
Always a good old standard for beef on weck. But all of their food besides the excellent beef on weck is yummy.
First place my wife took to get beef on wak (probably not spelled correctly.) Charlie sets the bar really high when comes to comparing other restaurants that offer the sandwich!
If you haven't had the Beef on Weck yet, make a special trip for it! Mac and cheese was great too.
Visited 9/2021. This is a most go to stop for Beef on Weck. The meat is tender and juicy. The au jus is perfect and the potato wedges are crispy with a tender inside. Even the apple cider was delicious. If you are in Buffalo you must stop at this iconic restaurant!
Don't just come here for beef on weck, the rest of the menu is worth it as well! They have specials to match the days of the week, and lots of different entree options. The specialty is meat, but don't forget that they have superior soups and salads as well.
Have been purchasing Charlie's Roast beef at supermarket for years. Yummy but Recently purchased some Charlie's Roast Beef at my local store and not only has cost gone up but quality went down. Texture stringy and not as flavorful. Even look different. The only reason I forked over the $19.99 per pound (up from 14.99) is because of how good it had always been. Likely would still purchase now and then if quality was still same. Sad to say goodbye.
The Bratwurst with Sauerkraut was very good and the Beef on Weck was a great new taste for me!
