Charlie's, Cuba NY

Yet another place in Cuba who has a better fish fry than Murdoch's. And the closest thing to a Buffalo Texas hot I have found in the area cute little place with a huge ice cream selection.

Excellent fast food in a quaint retro setting. Very friendly, attentive staff and good price point daily specials. Try the Cuba burger!

The food is awesome and they have a lot to choose from and the prices are not t bad I would keep going there to eat

The fried chicken is delicious. I give it 3 stars due to the way it is cut. I shouldn’t have to worry about choking on a bone with every bite. When it’s cut right, there are no hidden bone pieces to worry about. That is just as important as having good flavor. The difference is that i would order every week, but the little pieces of bone I keep finding in my mouth keeps me from wanting to come back. Change it, and I’ll change this to a 5star

Undercooked shrimp & onion rings doughy. Unable to eat. Lost $. I don’t want it burnt but I do want it cooked.if coating is still doughy, then not cooked long enough.busy or not, do it right AND don’t give me somebody else order & argue with me about what I ordered.

Came thru, east to west, to SD, topped 37x on the RT, this was the Best Burger, and the blackboard & people are fabulous!

Great little stop if youre on a ride. Good food and you get it fast. Friendly staff and work on pleasing.

Food was ok. I ordered on Friday the 19th of August. I ordered while looking on the Facebook website ordered 2 cheeseburger subs. Received 2 cheeseburgers and every price was higher than what the menu stated on the site the pizza was ok and of course the cauliflower was great!

Only place I k ow in the Southern Tier to get Poutine! It's proximity to the Cuba Cheese shop seems to ensure that any dish containing cheese is liberally adorned and yummy as heck. Cauliflower crust pizza is nice & garlicky & doesn't have that sulphuric aftertaste that many Cauliflower dishes have.

I tried to eat this pizza, but it was so soggy that the toppings kept slipping off the slices. There aren’t enough napkins in Cuba, NY to clean the mess that was made.

Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo and tomato. It’s like they added extra of both. He wrote it down correctly on the slip. We also waited 30 minutes for 2 grilled chicken sandwiches and a large fry. There was only one order in front of us. Both sandwiches came out to us wrong. Really disappointing for $20

Update: Keeping review at one star because my order was absolutely terrible. We got our sandwiches to go otherwise I would have taken them back. We got grilled chese sandwiches but these were not made on a grill. They had a slight toast mark in the middle but otherwise the bread was as soft as it is coming out of a bag. Ridiculous.

Food used to be pretty good here but it's gone downhill. While waiting for food I watched as a cook from the back came out to give an order to a customer and he asked her to pull a gray hair from the tip of his nose and she did. Never going back there.

Charlie’s is classic American fanfare: burgers, onion rings, pizza, calzones, ice cream, and much more to offer from their large menu. Great outside seating and a friendly staff. Passing through Cuba, I won’t ever eat somewhere else! The quality of the food was great and it absolutely hit the spot!

I stopped today after going to the Cuba Cheese Shop. My mom and I both had burgers. They are one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. I saw a couple of other reviews about only one person working the register. Yes and it's a small area so I think that's pretty appropriate. Yes she has to handle the register, ice cream and drive thru. I was there at lunch time today and my wait for food was nothing I would have ever complained about. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a delicious burger

Really good food and large portions. They have a very extensive menu so there something for everyone
