Absolutely a nightmare! 630 reservation didn’t have my entrée until 845. I had to remind the owner that our food still hadn’t come yet - she looked flustered, and had no idea. (they weren’t even that busy) Service horrible and the owner was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met in my life. The owner sat and feed her whole family at a table right next to us, while I sat there with my family - with (2) kids 1 and 9 for two hours with no food and watched everyone else eat. I do not recommend this restaurant TO ANYONE. BE ADVISED - RIP OFF.don’t go - SAVE YOUR MONEY! And what I mean by that, our bill was way off the charts - 3 appetizers, 4 entrées, two desserts, seven glasses of wine and two beers.oh and 7 glasses of club soda @ $35 for a grand total of $570 which included 20% gratuity for terrible service - she ant no Jean-George, that’s for sure. If anybody knows good French food

The biggest ripoff ever DONT go here 4 people 6 glasses of wine, 2 drinks, 1 steak dish, 2 chicken dishes and 3 beers we had a 6: 30 reservation at 8: 45 we were still waiting for the food to get served there was 1 waitress and 1 busboy who didnt even speak English, when we complained to the owner she said “wrap up the food” they added a 20% gratuity for literally NO service AT ALL total bill 570 bucks this place should be shut down by the cops they deserved a zero tip for the garbage service the worst place I have ever been to the biggest ripoff, my first impression was to just walk out of this disgusting joint even after we were waiting an hour for our order, I'm sorry I didn't, they had the temperature set at 68 degrees, I raised it to 72, whats wrong with that? And the owner said "DONT YOU TOUCH THAT AGAIN" so I sat there with my winter coat on the whole time, they were so damn cheap to their customers they didn't even give a damn that the place was so cold! Stay away!

Came here for a private baby shower party. The place is super cute and it’s all French themed even the music. The menu has lots of different options and this place is adorable for tea and scones. The salad I got had blue cheese, apples, strawberries, walnuts and more. It has lots of flavor. I got the fish and chips as my entree and it was two big pieces of fish and tasted good. I would come back here.

The food was amazing. Very cute atmosphere. And the tea choices are out of this world. Highly recommend and will be returning

Chat Noir was the perfect ambiance for tea lovers of all ages. They have a wonderful variety of food and, of course, TEA and scones!

Except for our server, the customer service was seriously lacking. I arrived before the rest of my party, and was ignored for what seemed like a long time. One female employee saw me and kept right on talking (another female employee explained to me that she was "working on the other side", as though it was a valid excuse for completely ignoring me). My server was the only one who actually greeted me. After all of that, I found the food (I ordered the shepherds pie) & the tea to be just ok, it was really hot (was the AC not working?), and the atmosphere was meh. I will never again step foot in this establishment (Prince Tea House is FAR better)!

It looked really nice and fancy. However, the service was terrible. We waited for 12 minutes for the server to take our order. And when we asked for more coffee, that was another long wait. The servers were in the back talking away and not paying attention to us. The tea and scones were excellent.

My husband and I received a gift card for our anniversary. We dined and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service. Melissa went above and beyond to correct the error with our bill. We have shared our experience with everyone and invited several people to dine here as well. Best customer service and best food on Long Island!

I believe the atmosphere depends on who is attending the party/get together. The food and tea were good. I had the baked salmon which came with spinach orzo, mixed vegetables, and the honey Dijon sauce. Even though I didn’t need it ketchup was on my plate as well. I really liked what I later found out was zucchini bread. It was made specifically for the party I attended. I was interested in ordering some and since it was made for the party the server said he’ll check if there’s extra. There was and he gave me the to go container filled with pieces of zucchini bread.

Hands down one of my favorite places. Food is always great, the owner Melissa and staff are so friendly. Hosted an event here. Would definitely book again. My favorite menu item, always delicious is Honey Lime Shrimp salad and the scones.

It was very busy and noisy the day I visited. The food I ordered was excellent but some of my companions were not so pleased.

The food is outstanding and service is amazing! The Shepard Pie and Caramelized Tart were devine! The owner Melissa and her team truly transcend hospitality in every way and gave my family a respite from a tumultuous day. This is a restaurant that shouldn't be missed and will be part of the neighborhood and community for many years to come!

It is an amazing place celebrating a Tea Party Ladies Luncheon. We added extra flowers for the lushness we desired. From the scones to the personalized menus, this place has created a very successful business paradigm. If you are not renting the private room which they have, be aware that they will hold your cake earlier, but any additional items like the added florals had to be brought in 15 minutes prior to your table set up. I'm definitely having future events here as it is such a lovely French interior. They offer different cost levels with different perimeters. Parking is on the street, and I definitely would suggest getting the parking app because I was able to park without stress for over 3 hours for less than $4. Compared to Manhattan a BARGAIN! Thank you for a lovely way for us to celebrate a wonderful occasion.

Breakfast (a cheddar cheese omlette over well-cooked hasbrowns, sans bacon) was delish! Attentive, helpful staff. My daughter loved her blueberry pancake, and my sister enjoyed her bananas foster French toast.
Not a fan of the cinnamon scones - dry with a very hard-crunch sugar. However, everything else, including variety of teas was lovely!
My sister treated, not sure of cost.

I ordered the glazed salmon, it was served raw. My friends and I had food poisoning from this for about five days. One had to go to Urgent Care and when we called to justify this situation, we were disregarded. #2

Delicious food! We discovered this place when we participated in Restaurant Crawl (organized by RVC lion club), and we finally got time to try it out. Love my linguine and fried calamari.

For the past two+ weeks I have been waiting for Melissa Kelly, the manager and event coordinator, to return my calls to schedule a bridal shower for my daughter. She was first called by a bridesmaid who gave her my info and who was assured I would get a call back that afternoon. No call. I have spoken to several people within these 2+ weeks, over 7 phone calls, and was told she would return my call to schedule the event. No call. I also left messages on their answering machine. Yesterday, I called and was told to call back at 5PM because Melissa was with a party and she would be free then. When I did, I was told Melissa left. Nice. The girl took information from me again, as she remembered me from past calls. She asked me to hold, put me on hold for 20 minutes until I finally hung up and decided this was not the place for me. If this was any indication of how they do business, my daughter’s special event would be a disaster. I was extremely disheartened. My daughter deserves better…. Everyone does. The owner should be aware of what is going on. You are most likely losing business and rightfully so! You lost mine, along with any recommendations.
