Chris Prentiss Physical Therapy, Commack NY

I started here for pain management for 2 herniated discs in my neck. The professionalism and care I received was outstanding. Chris worked with me and my doctors to try and alleviate the pain. Unfortunately I did need surgery. The surgery fixed the pain but I was left with weakness in arm and shoulder. Going back to Chris and his staff was the best thing I could have done for myself. Arm is finally strong again!
I must give a shout out to Melissa the office manager, she not only is professional but a wonderful person. When I started going with the pain she was genuinely concerned and compassionate. When I went back for the strengthening of arm she always was cheering me on! Chris and his whole team go above and beyond, I want to thank them all!

My mother in law loves this place! The staff are incredible and the facility is spotless. 1: 1 attention. Highly recommend!

I continue to be very impressed with the level of care and attention given by the staff at CPPT. I had a total hip replacement done in late September and because of the skill and support of James and Chris, I am back on my feet and feeling great. I have my confidence back when I'm walking and I was discharged right on the original schedule. The whole staff is very professional and yet they make it an enjoyable atmosphere despite our pain. I highly recommend this practice for all PT needs.

Chris and his team are amazing! Helped my daughter get back on the field after a soccer injury. He also taught her all the exercises so she could do them at home. It’s important to have someone you trust when it comes to the health of your children. We without a doubt know we found the right place for our family who truly had our daughter’s best interests at heart.

I had to locate a physical therapist for my DD. I couldn't have chosen a better place. Chris and his staff took such good care of my daughter and made me feel at ease. I cannot speak more highly of a physical therapy practice. Chris and his amazing team are the absolute best. James is super knowledgeable about the human body and all the muscles, nerves and so on. Every time I go there I know I’m in good hands with him and I trust him. The ladies at the front desk Brianna, Donna, and Melissa are the kindest and treat you like your checking into a five star hotel. Gabby, who works with me setting up my exercises and machines is a sweetheart as well, and is extremely personable. Its nice to have a team of physical therapist professionals who you can joke and laugh with but at the same time they’re healing you. Chris Prentiss physical therapy is great because they’re not just medical robots, they’re human and treat you as such. If you have any problems that can be worked on with physical therapy, I highly recommend Chris Prentiss and his extremely professional and knowledgeable team.

First I’d like to say how wonderful this place has been in many ways. First, the friendliness of this atmosphere is outstandingly exceptional. The professionalism in that office is above expectations. Second I’d like to point out the cleanliness of this office. Third, My twelve year old daughter has been going there for about seven weeks and each time she’s left with a smile on her face from everyone being so friendly and interacting and pain free, thanks to all the fantastic physical therapists and staff. They make you feel like as comfortable as you can be, I highly recommend this office, it’s a five star in our book.

I Have now come to Chris Prentiss Physical Therapy for two different injuries. Not only were they extremely helpful getting me back to 100% but they are very personable and create a very comfortable environment for you to get better.

I am a returning patient. An accidental fall in Nov 2023 left me with painful, restricted mobility in my lower back and right hip. After recognizing chiropractic and stretch therapy weren't providing me the relief I needed, I returned to Chris for treatment. After 5 in-house sessions (along with home exercises, which must be done to aid in your care), I am happy and have returned to my active life. Chris's practice is well-managed and clean. His staff is polite and caring and wants you to feel better!

Best physical therapy place I’ve ever gone to. Everyone is so professional and friendly. But most importantly they are extremely knowledgeable pertaining their profession. James and Chris are wonderful.

I was very happy with the treatment I received here! I went in with chronic back pain and left with little to no pain in just a few short weeks. Chris and James knew just the right exercises I needed to do in order to manage my issues. Highly recommend if you want effective treatment that is customized specifically to your situation.

Chris Prentiss is the best physical therapist I have ever gone to. I have been to about 10 physical therapists in my lifetime for knee, back, and tennis elbow issues so I know if a therapist is good. He is the only physical therapist who could get my tennis elbow (now actually pickleball elbow) to a point where I can play again without pain. He is dedicated and caring and so is his amazing staff. This is a professional, clean, well-run office with all of the necessary equipment needed for rehabilitation of injuries. He takes his time and never rushes. He talks to everyone to make sure they understand what he is doing and what they need to do at home. I highly recommend him.

I can't say enough about Chris Prentiss Physical Therapy. I just finished 3 months of P. T.there and had great results. I was referred to this practice by other family members that had success with Chris and James. Whenever someone asked where I was going for P. T. (knee replacement), as soon as I mentioned Chris Prentiss' name, I was surprised and happy to learn that so many people were familiar and had prior success at his practice. I became very fond of both Chris Prentiss and James Gucciardo. Both were knowledgeable and extremely caring, and they took the time at EACH VISIT to ask about my progress. They constantly updated my home exercise regimen based on my progress. You can't go wrong with either therapist. I was also very happy with ALL the P. T. Assistants and the office staff, especially Donna, Gabby, Briana and Meaghan (sorry if I missed anyone). They made me feel like family, set up and wiped down each machine in advance, and watched to make sure I was exercising correctly. This practice should be given priority consideration when searching for a therapist.

After two car accidents, 2 years apart, I was referred to several Physical Therapy centers for treatment. None of these locations seemed to focus on improving my conditions, but rather just seemed to go through the motions to satisfy insurance requirements. I didn't want surgery as I'm a celebrity nail artist, and couldn't afford to take recovery time off. Additionally I knew that with proper therapy, I could recover without it. At a point of desperation, I was referred to Chris Prentiss PT. The first day I walked in the door, I knew I had found the right place! After 6 months I'm feeling back to my old self and I'm able to service my clients without pain. I'm also able to do my favorite hobby, salsa dancing, with no issues as well. I was given an extensive at home maintenance program to keep everything working properly, which is crucial to maintain the work that was done at the Chris Prentiss PT location. Each member of the staff is welcoming and so friendly and quickly became like family. Chris was especially professional, attentive and adaptive to my personal situation. Thank you so much for fixing me and bringing my body back to working order! I very highly recommend this facility for anyone needing care!

Chris is very attentive to your symptoms and always gives you exercises to manage your symptoms at home.
