Citarella Gourmet Market - Southampton reviews
17 Almost everything they make with few exceptions (ceviche for example) is both over priced and fair to middling. The seafood is not amazing, the meat is the same, but you pay for amazing. It IS convenient and has good hours so there is a plus.
We have tried a lot of things here… pies, meat, seafood, sandwiches etc.and have come to the conclusion you can find much better with little effort… sorry I know everyone thinks is way better than it is but it’s just not…
Expensive high quality grocery store. Great meat, produce and prepared food. 5 stars for the food, 4 stars for the price.
Their prices are obscene and once you get in there it’s awkward to try to leave. To be fair, I’ve only been there one time, and they have a nice selection, for sure, but it’s hard to justify what they charge, even for this area.
Great store, lots of items to choose from both prepared fresh as well as packaged. A bit expensive for me but I guess for the Hamptons, you should expect that.
Nice place if you are staying or passing through Southampton. Great bagels, coffee, salad bar, gourmet food. A worthy alternative if you are tired of the pricey dining options
Great foods, fish, bakery, fruits and veggies.it has an organic section although, the organic produce doesn't appear to be very fresh.
This place is wonderful, the variety of exotic fruits and vegetables are always abundant. They have fruits i have never seen anywhere else. The staff is very friendly as well.

Very centric location, small but has almost everything you need to eat or drink and other brands that you usually don’t find in other stores. A hit pricey, but everything I eat there is always delicious. The pizza was amazingly good.
Excellent selection of produce, meats and fish. Also pre-prepared lunches are really good. Sandwiches, wraps, sushi, hot food bar.all worth a stop. I've been to several Citarella's on Long Island and the Southampton and Babylon stores are the best of the bunch. Make a stop at any Citeraella if you can
Missing prices on so many items. I am sure it is against the law to not price items; bakery goods for instance, no prices and no signs. They should be reported to the authorities. And, there are no olives anymore for sale (they used to have greek olives, peppercini and such) ; no whitefish salad only a "spread" filled with mayo; no smoked whitefish; no ability to get 1/4 lb of a deli item (rather than 1/2 lb) ; so if you want 1/4 lb of tunasalad lots of luck. The store has declined unfortunately.
5 begrudging stars. It's a decent Citerella, especially compared to others nearby. And Citerella is. Well, you understand, right? Too expensive, but sometimes the best choice there is. Like I said. 5 BEGRUDGING stars.
Aside from the cumbersome aisles that cordon you to their registers, this is the Valhalla of Long Island's Cutarella stores. Coffee Bar, Hot Bar returned after Covidded times, huge meat, vegetable, pastry variety and selection all with a decent priced cup of coffee, front &back parking with dual entrance/exits. The Best, but you're going to pay for it, of course. Especially, when you MUST visit a cash register!
A select food market with all quality items, packaged and ready to go order as well as supermarket items. Fish and seafood is quite good compared to others in the 10 mile radius.
Pricey but great quality. Great salad bar. Citarella sells food only.no kitchen gadgets or paper product, etc. They have dey aged beef:)
The place is too expensive! I bought a lunch, which was rice, roasted vegetables (little), and three small pieces of chicken, the price $20,51 unbelievable! I never paid for lunch that price! If you need to get lunch, don’t go there, unless you don’t care about money…
