Citrus Restaurant reviews
17Citrus is among my most favorite local restaurants. A great time, everytime. Definitely on the short list for a consistently reliable meal with all the authentic flavors you would expect. No disappointments here. You want a great dinner, visit Citrus and enjoy.
Excellent quality Indian food
I live 2 hours away from this restaurant but shall definitely visit frequently. 5 stars.
We came as a party of 9. Only one mix up with bringing out lamb instead of goat entree. They let us keep the mixed up order. We ordered Mango margarita's with Sugar on the rim and one with salt. Only 1 came out wrong. Our server George was attentive to our needs and corrected the problem right away. This has been our 3rd visit.coming from MD visiting family here it is a great place to come together for good food.the papaya salad was sweet with a little spice! The butter chicken is always fantastic! Every dish was great to be honest. The desserts were amazing.the presentation of the mango cheesecake was beautiful. Sticky date pudding I think fell to the #1 spot! The mango sorbet was delish. Marsala tea had a light taste and was great to finish the meal. Thank you to the servers and staff who are working hard during this time. You are noticed! See you next time we are in town!
Have eaten there a few times and each time it has been very good. Service is on point and prices are fair.
The best Indian restaurant in Orange County. The food is always fresh, delicious and amazing. Their staff are fantastic and always attentive.
Went here for brunch and was not impressed by the buffet. The food was decent but not nearly as good as other Indian/ middle eastern restaurants in NY.
The food, atmosphere & service is simply amazing & delicious
By far our favorite restaurant
Citrus Restaurant is great for lunch or dinner. The dine-in option is like a mini version of the lunch buffet they used to have. You get to choose between vegetarian or meat (chicken, beef or fish). Everything tastes great, you will not be disappointed.
Their lunch fixed set at 17 dollars gives you ALL OF THIS PLUS the best lamb bryani of my life. All the saffron. All the spices. Perfectly cooked tandoori chicken. Superb aloo gobi. Lots of veggies. I’m in love and so want them in my town.
Great variety.
There where several dishes that where spicy and sweet. And the bread super soft. Great stop.
It’s expensive. Good food, they should offer less food with so much dairy and yougurt and cream
Consistently the best Indian food in the Hudson Valley easily rivaling anything you could find in NYC. I cannot write highly enough about the food served here! Both the curries and the meat from the Tandor oven are excellent and you honestly cannot go wrong with anything you order.
In short: Citrus is fantastic.
Best Indian food I’ve had in along time! Staff are always welcoming and friendly! Price is affordable
In all the years going to this small relaxed restaurant, I haven’t had a bad experience. Food is awesome, service is great! Truly worth checking out.
I was in the mood for an Indian buffet so I decided to stay local and I went to citrus with my wife. I remember that their food and service was very good in the past. However this time the head waiter was less than inviting. Then I looked over the menu and decided to stay cause the lunch box menu did not offer enough variety. My wife later joined me and we ate and if the waiter seemed off until he presented the bill. Seventy dollars for two buffets and a cup of chai was a bit high even after the increased prices brought on by the pandemic, so the waiter explained. He then adjusted the bill to $48 which only added to the confusion. Only then I realized that the waiters had corrected his mistake without explanation or apology. Instead his attitude resumed. In the end I still added more than a 20% tip but I would hope that the management will instruct their staff that a smile could help to correct any miscalculated bill.
Amazing food in a wonderful ambience. Tried their non-veg platter and got a taste of a wide variety of dishes from North, South, West India and Thailand (the green fish curry was amazing). Please visit this place! It’s a hidden gem in this otherwise unassuming town.
