Buyers beware!

The Caesar salad literally had ice crystals on the lettuce and even the bread crumbs (I wouldn’t exactly call them croutons) were equally as frozen. Premade salad is fine, but I wonder how many days it had been in the walk-in. Should’ve said something but let it go.

Duck was fine, nothing special.

When I got the bill I was a bit confused. Two Basil Hayden’s on the rocks: $48. Pricy but almost acceptable. The 3rd was only $20. I asked about the difference in price and was told, “even though you ordered the 3rd one with ice as well, I didn’t change you for the rocks. ”

Basically, I paid an extra $8 for ICE. NOT A BIG ROCK, but regular ice.

In the scheme of things, $8 isn’t a big deal. Yet kind of absurd.

I didn’t realize ice was a premium upgrade on Long Island.

Won’t be returning.

Food was delectable! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Service was Moscow as the waitress was also the bartender and then added a hundred automatic hundred dollar tip to our 500 bill. Where I don’t think it was just deserved as we constantly had to ask or remind her or them items we asked for or ordered. However, besides that. The wait time was great and the food was phenomenal. Everyone had a great time.

We celebrated a birthday for brunch and we were a party of 30 people. The place was big and comfortable, nice decor, a huge bar. We were not rushed out. Our server took our orders pretty quickly, and food did not take long. However, our drinks took a while it seemed that there was only one server to that side of the restaurant, and it was hard to get her attention. The food was delicious.

Came here for LI Restaurant Week. EVERYTHING was a hit! The crabcake was pure crab, NOT full of (or any) breading/ filler. The wings were big and plentiful. There were so many options for the entrée that I couldn't decide. I let the waitress decide, and she picked the right choice. The pork chop was huge and tasteful. The drinks were on point, creative, and strong. The cheesecake was smooth and rich. The presentation of everything was beautiful. Definitely returning because there's so many things on the menu I still need to try.

They were part of restaurant week, very good variety of dishes to choose from. Good and friendly wait staff. Will be going again.

I got to go to City Cellar as a part of restaurant week. The restaurant is well decorated and our waitor was super accommodating and sweet. The food was good too, especially the tomato bisque! It stole the show.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. By far the worst hostess we’ve ever come across. Sunday 10/22 at 3pm. Didn’t even say hello. When I told her we had a reservation she just started walking to the back. We followed her and was seated at a table for two. We were a party of four. If she paid attention to what I was saying, she would’ve known that. We also noticed she sat another family down next to us at a table for two. The gentlemen explained their reservation was for 8. What’s so hard about checking the reservation? I also didn’t end up getting credit on OpenTable since she never checked off I was there. The waiter was also such a mess. He took our drink orders and forgot about us twice. Didn’t ask if we wanted dessert.

Terrible customer service due to the general manager of not knowing how to speak to customers

Refrain from visiting this restaurant do not recommend to spend your time or money here not worth it at all! The manager, Matthew is very disrespectful for getting loud with me and another man had to let him know to lower his voice please and then he recognize how he was not containing his composure correctly and apologize for getting loud with me for something as simple as not understanding the menu. If this is how One is going to be treated to come to this restaurant, I will never come back nor will I recommend this restaurant.

Christian and Peter where beyond the level of service! It’s a must stop and both are going to take it to the next level. Friendly, intelligent, passionate and love the food industry! A MUST GO!

Served by Christian at the bar. His service was amazing and he was very attentive. Rated a 10/10 and will definitely come back.

It’s hard to see a man get loud to a woman and unable to discuss respectfully because he is a general manager and should know how to communicate. No one took the actress staff to inform us, nor to cater to us, because we went in for a birthday. Do not recommend to come to this restaurant. They are OK with disrespecting you and making you feel the little for not understanding the menu properly, rather than going the extra mile and explaining it to the customer.

Very disappointed to see a manager who is capable to disrespect and get loud with my daughter. I couldn’t believe in my eyes that someone’s capable to act this way for not understanding the menu properly. Couldn’t the manager just respectfully understand and empathize with the customer and speak to them properly, rather than get loud with them and make my daughter feel disrespected, and I am also offended that my daughter was spoken this way. We came here to celebrate a birthday and came out Very disappointing. Do not recommend.

We had reservations so we didn't have a wait at all. There were only 2 of us but we were given a huge semi circle booth with a big table. The seat cushion wasn't that comfortable and sank in quite a bit and the upholstery had some rips in it. The food was definitely decent and presentation was good. The service was very sporadic and basically slow. The bread was dry and came with a plate of plain oil for dipping which was tasteless. We got the rock shrimp and grilled octopus appetizers which were pretty good. I ordered beef short rib. My friend had the shrimp and scallops with risotto. We also had peach Sangria and desserts!

Sunday brunch is always a treat here bc of the dependably good jazz bands they bring in. The music is always top shelf and the food isn't bad, either.

The food was exquisite as usual. The outdoor dining was nicely setup. Our waitress and busboy were attentive. Service was excellent. Only 2 complaints: the outdoor chairs were comfortable to sit back on, but hard on the back of the thighs when sitting forward to eat. Although my wife liked the cannoli cake, to me the filling was not the slightest bit sweet.

My wife's friends treated us to brunch here. For a Sunday afternoon, the place was nearly empty. We ate outside, on a wooden table, under a rickety awning that both looked like they'd seen better days. Portions of the table appeared as if they were literally sinking. It caused one my wife's friends to spill his tea all over his lap (luckily he wasn't burned).

Food was OK. I started off with grilled octopus, and thankfully they kept the skin on (not all restaurants do). For my main, I went with the pastrami melt, which came with a choice of fresh cut fries or home fries. I opted for the latter. The rye on the pastrami melt was a bit TOO toasty for my liking, and the home fries were pretty much just greasy potatoes.

I should add that the water was lukewarm, and every time our glasses were running empty, for some reason instead of refilling our glasses or leaving us a pitcher, they just kept on adding additional glasses of water to the table. Why?

I got a brief look at the inside of this restaurant. There was a live band playing swing, which was nice. But they were playing to a nearly empty restaurant, which was sad. Me thinks this is one of those places that's way more active at night, but who knows?

I was here for my birthday. Service is excellent. Food is presented in an artistic way. Delicious!
