City Fresh Market, Brooklyn NY

This supermarket always has the worst produce, dates are always bad everything always close to expiring and no discounts or sales. Not worth it, not city “fresh” more like city “expired”

This supermarket actually marked the price and the settlement of the price is not the same! The supermarket name on the receipt is not the same as it is now, but the address is the same. I went to buy two kinds of oil tonight and the price was different from that at the end of the bill. I bought 12 bottles of Heineken with a special label on the shelf that said the price was $16.99 and the price changed to $19.99 at the end of the bill. Pity I didn't take this picture on the shelf! Be careful when you go to this supermarket. It wasn't a lot of money, but the feeling of being cheated was really bad

Small local supermarket. Some good deals and not too crowded. Aisles are very narrow. Not good for social distancing. And lots of products don't have prices, which is annoying. I like to know how much things cost before I buy them. I'm surprised that some people complained about the service. I've found the staff to be quite pleasant.

Convenient and only really close supermarket next to me that has decent products. A little overpriced on some products but the supermarket itself is clean and they have a little spanish food court that's clean and fresh daily with breakfast in the morning and lunch afterwards. They also have an excellent cold cuts section with a good variety of Boar's Head products and they make sandwiches. The meat section is also very good! You can pay with debit but you CANNOT get cash back like in other larger supermarkets.

We've been shopping here for years now, definetley my go to store. Since it carries all of the Hispanic products used in my cooking why go anywhere else? Always find the items I use on sale, as everywhere else prices on certain items can be slightly higher so you either buy it or you don't. The staff here has always beyond helpful no matter what it is, from items being too high on the shelf or checking the back for product they are all so accommodating. Yes I agree the aisles are narrow but is what it is, I usually stop by here Saturday early in the morning so it isn't that packed. If you're shopping in a weekend in the middle of the day then yes loads of people. Since I live close parking isn't an issue, I just walk it & get my groceries delivered. Again no issues with City Fresh!

Most of the things here are fresh, the prices here are very high, the store name changed three times, many people steal from this store, sometimes the food on the shelf are expired and the workers don't even realized, the workers don't really help much unless you talk to them in Chinese, there's a parking lot and isn't much people inside the store most of the time, the cashiers here work very quickly

I like the different selection of items of stuff the supermarket looks more outclassed than most stores

A very clean and organized supermarket with a large variety of Hispanic products and they also sell prepared delicious Latin food by the pound.

Love shopping here! The staff is very nice and you can call your shopping order in and have it delivered and also pay with your card. They send the machine with your order to pay, can't get any better than this! Would definitely recommend this place to shop; the only bad thing about it is the parking, but it comes with the territory Brooklyn parking is few!

Love this place friendly people and u could get everything u want from international food to american food and they even serve hot food in the afternoon

I use this local super market for a variety of items.

PROS: Pricing on most items is low to average compared to other local groceries so you will get a decent deal on just about anything here. Nothing is really overpriced. They seem to mainly cater to the Hispanic community, so you can find good deals on items that are common in Hispanic cuisine, but you can also expect to find a variety of general grocery items that you find at any other local super market. Most fresh produce, dairy and other perishable items are stored well, so they will actually last as long as you should expect them to last (which is much better than any other local vendor). They have a larger selection of household/cleaning supplies that are average in price, but it would still cost you less than going to any local 99c store for the same item or a cheaper generic version.

CONS: They have a very limited selection when it comes to organic, non-GMO, cruelty-free, gluten-free, or hypo-allergenic items, etc. So sorry, if you're into that, then I would say: don't come here.

Fresh PRODUCE - they have a limited organic/natural selection, but it is usually always fresh and will last for a few days in the fridge (better than any other local grocery store).

DAIRY products are reasonably priced compared to any other local store, and they do not spoil before the expiration date (I can't say the same for many other local vendors).

MEATS - I would skip entirely, not bad since they keep it clean, but the meats they carry don't have much flavor, they are not organic and they tend to be tough rather than tender.

GRAINS, CEREAL, BAKING GOODS - they have a decent regular price, but they don't have many sales on these items.

BEVERAGES - they carry beer, soda, wine in a limited variety, about average price, rarely they have good sales, so don't go out of your way to shop for these things here.

That's it. I use this market every-other day so I definitely appreciate havin it nearby!

It's convenient, the products are fairly priced and the fruits and vegetables are always fresh. There's a large variety of meats compared to the other local supermarkets. The staff for the most part is helpful.

Have a lot of food products and everything is very organized. An example is like all the canned sause and stuff are in one column. The fruits and vegetables are really fresh and they also serves cooked food.

Decent selection and nearby location would make this a choice place for groceries, but it's expensive

The worst supermarket where I done shopping.they do not take coupons when the item are on sales, And horrible customers service. They don't deserve not even one Star.

Local and good when you're in a rush. A little pricey compared with other stores in the area but quality is worth it.

DON'T shop here.they have faulty refrigeration in which some of the items go bad a week before their expiration date (milk). The ice cream comes out mushy straight from the freezers and the fish is awful.
They don't check expiration dates on packaged goods.some of the jiffy boxes expired a year ago!

It's a fairly large supermarket. It's clean with bright lighting. It's a little narrow, and I wish they had a better selection. The music was loud.

This is the best place that I ever been, I love it.the employees are so nice and friendly, I have much more to say.
