CityMD Astoria

It was the 1st time that I visited the City MD location in Astoria. The stuff was very nice and friendly. The Doctor who performed the testing was very intentive gentle and carrying through the entire visit. Excellent experiance!

Staff were great and process was easy. DO NOT GO HERE FOR COVID TESTS. CityMD uses the same labs every other state in the country uses to get their samples tested. State run testing sites like the drive through ones turn around tests in 2-3 days because they have converted local labs into test labs.

Again overall great experience so if you need to go for non-Covid purposes definitely do. But if you’re going to have your brain tickled for the test you might as well find out ASAP.

T City MD is very convenient. The staff is friendly and the care is excellent. I'd reccomend it for sure.

Went for COVID testing on Monday, July 6th. The whole process took about 45min total. The longest part was actually checking in the kiosk. I had about 6 people in front of me in the line outside. Staff are friendly and happy to help.
Here's the negative:
Almost two weeks have gone by and I have not got my results back. What a joke. I know it's the lab's fault and there is a national delay, but honestly what is the point in getting tested for Covid if you get the results two weeks later?

The staff and Dr. Duroseau was efficient, concerned and nice. Only waited a short time before being seen. I was examined, had a tetanus shot (which I really didn't want it because I don't like shots but now am relieved I had it done since I fell and hurt my arm and hand), x-rayed, and diagnosed (accurate) within 45 minutes. Will certainly return if needed.

This place is better than the mount Sinai hospital they just opened on 30th ave. I’m always seen quickly the people here are thorough I’ve never been hit with a crazy bill after being seen (unlike mount Sinai) Dr. Zhang is great and the nurses are really nice.

Quick and easy visit. Staff was very accommodating. Also were very fast and responsive via phone when additional requested were inquired about for documentation.

The energy here is extremely "present". They were warm and extremely kind. They took a lot of care in making sure I had all the info I would need throughout the entire visit and when leaving. I will not be going to any other doctor in Astoria ever again. This is the standard of hospitality and care.

Walked in standing in front of the front desk waiting to receive help. 5 minutes later, they ask me if I'm being helped. FIVE MINUTES just standing in front of a front desk worker to at least say "I'll be right with you" or anything. The doctor came in after a flu test, and checked me. A DOCTOR said "looks like you have something. " Like gee, thanks. I didn't know that. Went home still not knowing whats actually wrong with me.

Took my girlfriend here to get checked out when she had a cold. The MA didnt even check her out and she went home after paying a $50 copay for nothing. They said she was fine. Went to a real Dr office the next day and found out she has a sinus infection. Pretty aggravating because this has happened more than once. I would avoid this place if you think you are unsure of what you have. If your problem is obvious they are fine.

I WALKED IN ON A THURSDAY MORNING AT 1048AM. I WAS TOLD TO CHECK IN USING THE KIOSK. AFTER CHECKING IN I HAD A SEAT. I WAS CALLED TO THE EXAM ROOM AT 11AM, GOT VITALS CHECKED. DOCTOR CAME IN AT 1112AM. WAS WALKING OUT THE DOOR AT 1135AM ON MY WAY TO THE PHARMACY. NO COMPLAINTS HERE! MY PRIMARY DOCTOR VISITS TAKE LONGER THAN THAT!

I was sick and needed a doctor because my pcp wasnt available. The Dr rushed way too fast. He spoke over me and cut Me off a lot. I left with prescriptions and questions. Everytime I asked a not the meds, I got "don't worry ". I can't take nsaids, yet was told " don't worry " repeatedly and given a script for an nsaid.
Other than the dr, place was clean and staff was amazing.

Maybe it depends on the day and time of day but I was brought in rather quickly and then waited 30 minutes in the exam room. When you have a 103 fever the last thing you want to do is wait in a cold exam room for 30 minutes.

Great experience with friendly and thorough staff. Put me at ease and set up follow up appointments. Would absolutely recommend.

The staff is extremely professional. I was seen in a timely manor. The doctors took great care and it did not seem like a rushed experience. I felt listened too as well as cared for. I will not hesitate to return to this location should I need medical assistance in the future.

Was in and out in 40 minutes. Seems long, but that's from signing paperwork, being seen, taking xrays, then further discussing with the doctor. Will definitely continue to use this location.

I went there when I got sick in the beginning of january. I was congested, mucusy, coughing, achy head ache. The wait wasn't bad but when they took me.the doctor poked at me a few times and sent me home w a diagnosis of allergies. I have now been sick for a month! No it was NOT allergies. I was so mad they were not thorough at all it's like they didn't even care.

I had a very bad sinus infection and an unstoppable cough. I was seen by a doctor in about 20-30 minutes. They prescribe the proper meds to help me feel better. The care was great and I am feeling a little better today. I definitely recommend this facility to any one. Wonderful customer service. They are great!

Excellent service! Went in after an accident in which I broke my nose. They were great. Confirmed the break, made sure everything else was okay. Took me right away. They also arranged for an appointment with an ENT in Astoria immediately, who was also great. Thank goodness for City MD!

Very short and simple. Went for an infected wound. They prescribed a cream and some pills. 4 days later still not better. If I want it checked or looked at I have to make another copayment. City MD customer service was useless, they were no help or were willing to at least evaluate. They just want their money whether it takes 30 seconds or 30 mjnutes. Look for another urgent care, there are plenty of those in NYC with better services.
