CityMD Brighton Beach Urgent Care - Brooklyn reviews
17 The doctor gave me health teachings to ONLY drink 1Liter of water a day just because i submitted a light yellow to clear color of urine sample for a pregnancy test prior to MMR and Varicella vaccine.
Hey doc, that's the amount of fluids we recommend to our dialysis patients too! Lol!
Not reliable at all unprofessional… no compassion or understanding medication not sent.very scary place! That is the staff the doctor was almost decent.the place is run by unprofessional kids who are incompetent therefore you do not get what you need
Writing this on behalf of my friend that went here yesterday. The physician was nice and professional. Great quality of care. However, the management needs to take a look at who they’re hiring for medical assistants because bedside manner is severely lacking. When called in the medical assistant was wildly hostile and my friend was extremely uncomfortable. She even tried complementing her to break the ice but to no avail. Thank god this isn’t the person she ended up working with during the visit but people like this shouldn’t be working in healthcare if they can’t provide basic people skills. Wasn’t able to get her name since the interaction was short and don’t think she was wearing a name tag but she seemed Hispanic (only mentioning in case management actually cares to look at reviews). My friend came in in a lot of pain and after this interaction said she didn’t care how much pain she was in if this was who she was going to be treated by she was ready to leave and go to a different place. It’s not normal to treat patients that way.
The provider was extremely rude and unprofessional. She should not be dealing with patients.
I had a really unpleasant experience with doctor Lidiya Shestoperova. I’ve been suffering for fourth day in a raw with dizziness and nausea and told her all my symptoms saying that I’m experiencing neck pain that usually goes away with muscle rub cream and massage. And I wanted to find out what is wrong with me. She starting laughing at my face asking why I came there and they cannot diagnose anything and they don’t do massages. After explaining to her that I have appointment with neurologist next day but couldn’t take to wait no more she again stated that she has no idea why I came there. I started arguing with her cause she’s been so rude and I just wanted to at least exclude any other sicknesses that I might have. After making me cry she said I need psychiatrist. My whole family are doctors so I know how nice they should be cause patients are suffering and she didn’t even know that the reason I’m crying is cause I’m feeling terribly sick and she was making me feel worse. She said that I don’t need to teach her what to do and they cannot help me. I told her to do something to find out why I’m constantly feeling this way and that emergency care supposed to ease person’s condition. After arguing with her she told me that I know my rights in this country very well and asked nurses to do neck rx, take blood, give medicine for nausea and dizziness, print out exercises specifically made for conditions like mine. I asked her first and last name from the nurse and after that Lidiya Shestoperova became very polite and attentive (may be nurse told her), she came in couple of times to give me medicine and told me what to do to ease my suffering. Other doctor there (who I never saw) gave diagnosis to me according my rx reading. At the end I thanked her for her effort but still feel the need to let other people know how rude and unprofessional she was and that she started working only after I argued with her. Nurses there are nice and attentive though.
P. S. Lidiya Shestoperova started correcting my English (which I’m fluent in) in a wrong way and kept saying that she’s been living in states for 30 years. She kept asking how long I’ve been living here, my zodiac sign and what do I do for work cause I’m so nervous. Very unprofessional.
Worst experience ever. Steven Hartstein PA just sending patients back to home to die without treatment. His license should be revoked. I will make sure to contact the health department.
Easy self check in when you enter to the left, great staff, and wasn't busy at all when I got there.
The day I went there, the provider was nice. They are all nice. However, they told me they could not help me. I understand that the rules are the rules, however, they should have a warning about the services really provided there so that people avoid wasting time and money. I wasted a 75 copay and was not helped at all. I thought urgent care was for the times that patients could not see their regular doctors, you go to urgent care and they help with what they can. However, it seems like they are only good to treat colds and little things like that. Patients should not have to waste money in copays to be told to go somewhere else.
Modern, well-equipped, sparkling clean clinic.
Friendly, highly professional staff. Warm atmosphere.
Waiting time: 5-10 minutes.
Doctors, nurses, receptionists are beyond all praise.
I'm very happy to have such a wonderful CityMD in our area.
Appointment made at my preference, questions and concerns were answered. CityMD at Brighton Beach Avenue staff and clinical team is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you
I used to like this place. The desk is helpful, almost no wait time, but the main result depends on a doc. And last time she was super unhelpful. (Waist of time and 50$ copayment.
I love this place and everyone who works there, from the staff up to the docs. I almost don't want to leave a good review so it's less crowded, lol. For real, I wish this place was my PCP. I just read some of the recent reviews and it's so bizarre. I've lived in this neighborhood for a decade and I've gone to this CityMD many times since it opened a few years back. I've never had a bad experience. Are these people charging in the door demanding medical attention at once? You sign in, sit down and they call your name. You walk in a room, they take your vitals, some questions and 5-10min later the doc walks in to ask what's troubling you. The rest is pretty simple. They don't give referrals because you need that from your PCP but they are kind enough to give you some names, places that take your insurance. That's it. If it's a COVID test, rapid results are emailed to you within an hour and the PCR test 1-3 days. Done. I'm glad and grateful this place is here.
I asked for a doctor’s letter saying that I was not positive for Covid19, I got tested twice, I got charged $225 and still the letter only says that I should be allowed to return because I completed quarentine, I wanted to demonstrate that I was not sick in the first place! If it was not possible to write the letter I should have been told so, and not charged for nothing, I already had 3 PCR negative results! I feel cheated!
Don’t make DOT test For commercial Licence very slow staff take 3-4 hour That’s work only 30 mintues of go somewhere
The staff at CityMD were very accommodating and professional in giving me excellent medical attention and medicine to help me recover. We recommend CityMD to all of our family and friends. Thank you very much again. G-d bless you all always.
Karen and Harris Morshenson
Fast service. Receptionists are very polite and helpful. The doctors are professionals. I'm happy that I have such a place nearby.
The worst place to have a COVID test. The entire visit took 40 minutes. They start with measuring your temperature, blood pressure and oxygen level. Although I didn't ask for that, they said it was required. Nobody explained anything about the tests. The PCR test take more than 2 days to get the results. If you have COVID you could die waiting. Also to get test results you have to register with their portal.
