CityMD East 96th Urgent Care - NYC reviews
16 I Love City MD. Every location gives you a different feel. I rather go here than go to my own physician at times. You are in and out clean and fast, very fast forward. However you do come across doctor's who make you feel a little uncomfortable with there delivery when being asked a questions.
Other than than City MD is great!
I got there about an hour before they opened which had me at #4 in line so I was able to get my rapid covid test without having to leave and come back my over all visit was great really quick and easy. Also I would lastly like to say that I didn't experience any pain after the test of course there was slight discomfort but nothing unbearable.
The staff at CityMD are wonderful! They are kind and helpful and it really calmed my nerves. Taking a Covid test was quick and simple. Their customer service is amazing! I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone! Keep up the great job! And thank you for being essential and for all you do for your patients and the community!
Overall everything is great!
The only downside is needs to wait for a long time in line. On Dec 22 I received an email, it says that CityMD introducing virtual line. I believe that this will solve the problem.
The service from the front person to the staff inside was great. All were very informative and kept us moving. All were pleasant. I received my test response within half an hour.
They’ve updated to a mobile line and honestly everything is so much worse. Instead of 1.5hr wait in line, we waited from 10: 30am til 4pm to get a text, came in and still waited for over an 1.5hr.
Awful at best - I was 4 hrs in the line in such a freezing weather for a covid test. It’s so frustrating to see how they function whereas another CityMD where I’m right now takes the name and the phone number of the visitors to text them when it’s their time come in. They should follow the same protocol and be faster in general.
They front desk personnel is very rude. Allows people to skip the line that is formed in the cold winter mornings. Confronting them led to a dismissive response that could have jeopardized my sacrifice of waiting for 2 hours only to be reminded of their leverage because of it being their place of work and me looking like another disgruntal black person
I really appreciate the workers and doctors who are there past closing time due to all the Covid testing patients. With the high volume and over hours everyone was kind, quick and efficient.
Staff overall very nice and helpful! The assistant that saw me before the MD could’ve been a little nicer in regards to my covid questions.
I got there at 7: 45, i was the 10th person on line for a Covid test. The first 30 ppl got a ticket to wait on line. Everyone else got a virtual ticket and came back at a designated time. Clinic opened at 8am and I was attended by 8: 45am. Quick, clean, organized, and Free.
Lines are long due to COVID testing. They try to be as quick and fair to everyone. Non COVID related visits do get acknowledged. The Facility is clean and they do a good job at keeping things moving and safe for themselves and the patients. Will be visiting again.
The staff were polite, the check in process took about an hour for my DOT exam. The PA was polite and professional but the exam was about another hour.
There were two receptionists at the front desk. One was a Black woman (awesome) and the other was either Latina/Hispanic (girl bye). The Latina receptionist was so rude to me and my husband. We were not greeted by her but by the Black receptionist. The Latina receptionist was so condescending and borderline homophobic when she asked if my husband and I shared the same insurance plan. He stated that she roles her eyes at him and directed him to go downstairs. However, the Black receptionist was very professional and friendly. Which made the difference. I would have a talk with the Latina receptionist because she was so rude and disrespectful to me and my husband. Please discipline your staff on how to treat customers of East Harlem (especially LGBTQ couples of color) with respect and kindness as if she were downtown or in a White neighborhood. I am White/Latino and my husband is Black American. I can tell that there was something odd about her. I hate to assume the worst of people in customer service, but the staff downstairs were a world of difference from that one specific receptionist. She stands out like a sore thumb; unhappy and miserable to be there. Not the case with the professionals downstairs or the Black receptionist. Maybe she needs a new place to work. Not be at this location. Just suggesting.
Poor performance by the doctor. I was told that I will be contacted regarding my bloodwork. To date, have yet to hear any response. What a shame.
