CityMD Lynbrook Urgent Care - Long Island

They took me in with little wait. Able to perform labs on site and had a diagnosis in < half an hour. The staff was friendly and showed they care.

I had a swollen and painful right ankle. I was immediately seen by the team and was grateful for the assistance they offered.

I went there with what I thought was a bad chest congested cold, that had me practically without breathing, felt very congested whereas when I coughed it was hacking and un breathable with phlegm. Was given a COVID test that came out negative and a second one to be sent to lab just in case for false positives. The Doctor I saw, came in assured me right there that by him looking into my eyes that it was COVID. I've never ; since COVID began, heard that one can tell that someone has COVID just by the way their eyes looked. I was told to go home and just have a BRAT Diet until second COVID test results come back and that a prescription will be sent to CVS for the cough. Had to call CVS several times for it and was told that nothing was sent. By that time I couldn't even call the clinic because they were closed until finally CVS called and said they received it. To then be told by pharmacist that the med prescribed was a generic brand that costs $54 that was not covered by my insurance and that it was the same as Robitussin. Two days later I call and am told that the Second test was negative as well. I didn't get any help from this clinic and that doctor couldn't even diagnose me (what kind of a doctor is in this clinic? Getting paid for what?) I ended up going to the hospital because of breathing complications to be told that I had pneumonia. This walk in clinic is useless and it has occurred to other family members who had gone there in the past for immediate health concerns to which they would not get their illness concerns addressed in a manner as to going to a primary care or hospital. In the end you're better off no matter the circumstances or wait time; to go directly to a hospital, or go to your primary care physician -To doctors that know what their doing and how to diagnose peoples illnesses.
Instead of prolonging an illness that can be addressed early as appose to going to this clinic that may cause your health to get worse or even death because they can't diagnose nor help the issue. This place is a waste of time for real emergencies and should be in service only for check ups, immunizations and minor cuts and scrapes. The staff there are sweet and kind but Doctors are useless and I feel it is a clinic to make a quick buck on patients in need of help on their health issues / concerns as appose to helping them get better. Would not be coming back there and will advise all I know not to do so as well. Very disappointed!

After a fall I went to City MD and the doctor and the man who took the X rays was wonderful, the receptionist was very helpful.

My favorite CityMD location to go to, everyone is so kind, everything is clean. I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes to be seen.

DO NOT PROMOTE WOMEN HEALTH UNTIL YOU EDUCATE YOUR STAFF!
This was my worst experience at city md. I went there for women health and instead felt like I spent $100 to feel like they didn’t want to treat me. I was given a cup to urinate in, I walked to the restroom and completed the task. On my way back to my room which was located diagonal the laboratory room, I had my room door open thinking since they saw me pass they would take the urine. Instead I overheard “I don’t want to touch that warm cup. ” So the tech instructed the nurse to do it! Then I heard “should we give her a swab to swab herself. ” The AUDACITY! Do not promote women health if your staff is not appropriately trained in how to treat a delicate topic. The doctor did not examine me, all she did was was make assumptions. No women, no person should feel like they are ostracized and the plague by supposedly professionals that are meant to make you feel comforted in a time where you’re uncertain about your state of health.

I have been to the City MD Lynbrook Urgent Care twice, one for myself when visiting family and another time for a family member and they were friendly, efficient, and caring. I would definitely recommend them.

Compassionate and knowledgeable people staff this office in all positions, in my experience. Highly recommended.

Came here for covid testing, the receptionist was very nice to me, the nurse taking my vitals and test was nice and informative as well. I wish the parking lot was bigger but thats okay, i didnt mind walking from parking on the residential area.

The three girls in the front or horrible customer service they don’t like to do their job. They made my visit horrible with my son. Honestly, I think they should all get fired. The manager didn’t even mind to ask me what was wrong. I definitely will not recommend this place to anybody not even my enemy.

Today was the worst experience I had there. I went in and left still in so much pain with no help on how to relieve any of it. The PA looked like she just started where she had to look in a book to know what medication I needed. I don’t believe a PA should be left treating patients on their own till they have plenty of experience not to let someone leave in pain. I paid a 75 copay and over a 100 in medication and am still in tremendous pain. If I had someone more experienced or them having the proper help they need I believe I wouldn’t be left in pain and having to find a Dr on Monday to see for something that could have easily be resolved in city md.

I’ve been here twice now and everyone is very nice and efficient from the receptionists, nurses, techs, to the doctors. Minimal wait times; I’ve been in and out within an hour. I’ve gotten an X-ray here done too. Pleasant experience and this will be my go-to Urgent Care!

I visited the facility on 5/9/23 and was highly impressed by the experience overall. The entire staff was courteous and helpful in addressing my needs. In addition, I was highly satisfied with the cleanliness of the facility and checking in was a breeze and the wait time to see the physician on staff was kept at a minimum.
