CityMD NoHo Urgent Care - NYC reviews
17 The doctor was fine. The first assistant was rough and rude. She yanked the blood pressure collar off of my arm, leaving a mark, and lowered the examination chair back, without letting me know, causing me to fall back (I have a bad back and have had 4 spinal surgeries. Her behavior caused a spasm). The second assistant, was fine but muttered, so I couldn't understand her.
I was nervous I had COVID, so I’m glad I went but NOBODY listened to me or my symptoms.
Horrific experience. I went in with a sore throat - nothing extreme. Tested negative for everything so then had to wait 3 days for my lab culture to come back. By this point I was in excruciating pain. I got the link that I was positive for Strep but received no call from the office. After calling them 3 separate times, someone from a "care line" let me know that antibiotics weren't needed (?) Once I explained the amount of pain I was in, they prescribed THE WRONG antibiotics. My PCP was horrified that they let the infection get to this point. Negligence and carelessness - from the team that was responsible for following up, to the clinician who prescribed the wrong medicine.
Wish I could give zero stars. I went to cityMD feeling dizzy, sick and faint. They brought me to room talked to me for a minute, did nothing medical for me and then sent me a bill for $225. My insurance company said CityMD stated the visit was not urgent so the insurance company won’t pay. If CityMD classifies being sick, dizzy and feeling faint to not be urgent I’m not sure what is. Also if they don’t consider this urgent why not tell you when you get there? I’m assuming because $225 for one minute of their time is not something they want to turn down.
Dr. Marcellus Walker listened to my complaint attentively and gave me all the time I needed to explain it. He examined me with care and found the problem immediately. The medication he prescribed is working snd very effective. Thank you Dr. Walker, you’re the best!
The facility is very clean and airy, the staff is very courteous and helpful.
I will recommend Dr. Walker to everyone!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I went to citymd in NoHo because I had a sore throat they immediately tested me for STD gave me a shot put me on medication without even knowing if I had anything which I ended up not having it and didn't even put that in the email to let me know if I did or didn't have it had me worrying almost a week until I finally called to find out my results which was negative I never heard of a place putting you on medication without finding out if you have an std the doctor seem like he couldn't be bothered put the light in my mouth for two seconds and said your throat is fine but do you continue to put me on medication for something I don't have I will take this a step further and I wouldn't recommend anybody to go to citymd in NoHo very very unprofessional
I think we should all get together and put in a complaint and have the medical license reviewed or maybe all of us take out a lawsuit against them they're unfit doctors working there
Took great care of me and gave me the much needed clarification to proceed forward with knowledge of what was going on. Really great team.
Went here recently after taking a backwards spill on my stairs and puncturing my elbow pretty deeply, all while also stressed due to work deadlines. I can't thank the staff here enough.the PA, Alexandra, assessed my arm quickly, got it wrapped quickly but delicately, and got me over to another CityMD location with an X-ray tech straight away. That location (Financial District) was also amazing, as the got me X-ray'd ASAP and got the X-ray over to Alexandra, who was kind enough to call straight away to let me know nothing was broken. The people at both of these locations were amazing. Thank you all so much!
Have been seen quickly every time. Covid tests, sickness, or injuries, this is a great location to receive care.
I had a very pleasant visit here — everyone was so friendly, thorough, and helpful. The nurse and doctor had great bedside manner (and senses of humor!) and didn’t make me feel rushed at all.
I had a follow up question for the doctor after my visit and she kindly took the time to talk to me again on the phone. So appreciative of the care I received. Thank you CityMD team!
They move so quickly, without even explaining what they were doing. They said that they were extremely busy, but no one was in the waiting room when I left the office I saw a whole bunch of employees sitting on computers in the middle of the hallway. I guess the Rush was to get patient’s out so they wouldn’t have to deal with anyone for one reason or another. I left they’re not really getting any results on how I was feeling. Not even suggestions on what to take over the counter or even asked if I wanted something for pain or discomfort. He tried to give me some thing, but I declined because he didn’t even explain what it was until I asked. After that he seen disconnected and done. In the medical field, you are to pay attention to detail in the patient and empathize with how they’re feeling when you’re moving like speed racer that’s impossible!
First of all, the MD (Mrs. Dersarkissian) who examined me did not give me a clear diagnosis to what my condition was. I had clear symptoms of seriously developed bronchitis (a viral infection), was prescribed an antibiotic, and was advised to go back to work after only two days with it in my system. After I challenged her decision asking for a longer 5-days sick leave to rest at home without having to take an antibiotic, I was told that she couldn't give me a 5-working-days sick leave, and that I would have to come back to get reexamined. She "generously" gave me 3 days of sick leave and was like: "it's up to you if you want to take antibiotic or not". After 3 days of sleeping and resting, my condition improved without having to take any antibiotic, yet I still was not fit enough to come back to an air-conditioned office environment and ended up having to work from home for the rest of the week. This is not the level of care, a sick person hopes to receive.
AVOID THIS URGENT CARE AT ALL COSTS! Rude and incompetent doctor. DO Anisha Lashkari is a dismissive, condescending, and INCOMPETENT doctor who takes issue with parents who actually do some research into the symptoms /illness their children are experiencing. During a recent visit where we (correctly I might add) diagnosed our son with symptoms of strep throat, we brought him into City MD. During the visit she asked our son a number of questions, and given his throat was sore and swollen, my wife answered for him. This seemed to upset Lashkari, who asked to speak to my son in person because she thought my son was uncomfortable answering questions with his mother present. When my wife refused, and my son himself said wanted his mother to stay in the room, Dr. Lashkari bristled at this.
Furthermore, when I went to pharmacy, the pharmacist commented that the amount prescribed per dose was very odd, and he took time to show me how much to draw into the syringe. The required amount on the bottle was 11.37ml / 2x per day. He said a typical dose for amoxycillin is 10ml dose 2x per day. This large dose per day only allowed enough medication for a 4 day regimen which did not heal the strep - and as a result, the Strep infection has returned and my son is sick AGAIN. This doctor is rude, condescending and incompetent! She failed to administer the proper antibiotics regimen to cure our son's condition. THIS DOCTOR SHOULD BE FIRED!
Clean and good! But only thing I didn’t get email from reporters! That is bad! The phone won’t pick up all time!
Clean, friendly and professional. I didn’t wait long and was treated and given a prescription, even checked to see which pharmacy was still open as it was late.
Worst place rude staff. I came and took a rapid test and pcr both and asked for both specifically. So they did both test. The rapid came out positive for COVID. So I was waiting 3 day for the PCR TEST for my job. Never received it. I called them and they said because the rapid came out positive they did not send in the PcR. They are disgusting humans there. Stay away and go somewhere else
Very organized & Place is very clean as well. Staff is friendly & attentive wait time was also good
Zero stars: I had a terrible experience at this CityMD. I came in with a minor stomach issue and was diagnosed by Dr. Mohsin Saber as having a large pulsatile mass in my stomach and was told to go to the ER right away. There was no attempt to calm me down, this doctor ignited fear in me and didn't provide any other possible explanation. Upon arrival to the ER, that doctor told me he felt nothing in my stomach, but did a cat scan anyways and there was nothing in my stomach. The CityMD doctor had zero bedside manner and sent me into a panic attack that lasted over an hour until I was seen by an ER doctor. Do not use their service.
