CityMD Prospect Heights Urgent Care - Brooklyn reviews
22This urgent care facility has made those uncomfortable emergency room visits and excrutiating long waits to see your primary care physician a thing of the past. Just walk in, self check in with your photo ID and and wait to be called. The longest I've ever waited to be seen is 25 minutes.
Incredibly efficient and friendly service. Was there for antibody and COVID testing and was in and out in 15 minutes despite there being at least 8 people ahead of me. Will definitely be using this urgent care again.
Very professional and organized staff.friendly and knowledgeable nurses.excellent communication from doctors.i've been here three times and have been very pleased with the visit.
If you're not going for covid test, forget it. The prescriptions they give is overpriced and the lady at the pharmacy told me that instead of paying $30 I could pay $10 for a medicine that didn't even need a prescription. The doctor didn't even checked my both ears or was willing to hear about my symptoms. They didn't resolve my problem on the first time and on the second just gave me a list of other doctors. Besides that, even when they don't take care of your problem, they charge the same price for coming back.
I am deeply upset about the way Dr Michael Verdirame regarded my son's diagnosis and treatment. I would not recommend this location; Doctors need to understand that regardless of a patient's race- EVERYONE feels pain, you cannott determine who suffers more or less based on skin color.
Went to CityMD today for COVID 19 testing and had a very seamless and relatively pleasant experience.
I arrived about 10 minutes before opening and there were already 20ish people in line outside. The wait time wasn't particularly fast, but it did feel organized and safe (we stood outside and there were little circles on the sidewalk so we could maintain distance).
Once inside, I was able to check-in very quickly via an iPad-type thing and scan my insurance card. I was called back almost immediately, and had little to no wait time to see the doctor who administered both the COVID and antibody testing. Once complete, I walked right out, because testing is free right now. The entire experience took about 90 minutes door-to-door.
I'm super impressed by how clean and efficient the facility is- huge thank you to the staff members who are literally holding it down!
I feel i was diagnosed based on assumption rather than listening to my concerns and symptoms. I recovered from the cold and yet I'm still having coughing fits and can't hold as much air in my lungs.
I generally get in there pretty fast, though there has been up to a half hour wait. In the room, you wait a bit more, but the most recent time the total wait was under a half hour. The doctors and staff are professional and they get the job done quickly while listening without dismissing me, my concerns and my questions.
Was sick and wanted to make sure did not have walking pneumonia. Courteous staff. Short wait time. Good interaction with staff.
Immediate care from a competent team! I went in with a scary allergic reaction I’ve never had before - my throat was closing up - and I was seen right away and treated in a way that made me feel safe and calm. Thank you CityMD!
Great place. My daughter who lives in Clinton Hill found your Urgent Care to alleviate my Asthma attack while I was visiting her.
Every one was kind and took care of me.
Thank you
I went in on Tuesday with the flu and the entire staff was excellent. And I felt terrible! Greeting, sign in, nurse, pa, payment. All excellent. Thanks much.
Quick, Complete Care, Very Attentive. Everyone on staff was Friendly and respectful. I highly recommend CityMD Prospect Heights Urgent Care Brooklyn
Staff at this location was very nice but the billing department is a nightmare! I’ve been trying to get a billing issue resolved (within their normal business hours), and was hung up on after an agent asked me to get some more information about a bill. When I tried calling back, I got a voicemail multiple times saying they weren’t around. Seems like once they see you and bill your insurance, they couldn’t care less about helping you with post-visit issues.
Very professional quick and friendly staff. They know what they are doing here that is for sure.
They have no intrest in your business if you are 70 or older, they would rather see you die, for example they don't carry the extra strength flu shots for seniors. Nothing more than senior bashing. Avoid at all costs.
I have come to this location multiple times. Exceptional service always. I am so impressed with how thorough and quick they are.
Went in with my friend who had a rash from her toes to her stomach. They said they would contact us within the next few days with a referral to a dermatologist. Despite their lack of concern, a few hours later our gut told us to go to the emergency room. She’s been admitted for three days now, with continuous confirmation that this is no normal rash and that she needs to be in the care of doctors. CityMD had a kind staff but they really let us down medically.
Today we saw Dr Moshkovich, who was very professional, kind and patient. I normally dont write reviews but I wanted to because he was amazing. Front staff and nurse were very good as well. I have never been to this urgent care but I will again in the future. Super clean, very professional and luckily no wait times.
For a brief moment this was going to be a one star review, but it quickly turned into a 5 star review.
I went to City MD mainly because it's across the street and I know they do x-rays. Super convenient! I had a muscle in my lower leg that had been popping and areas of my foot were going numb. My initial experience with check in was amazing - very friendly staff. The person who took my vitals was also incredible.
However! When my doctor came in (I don't know his name because he mumbled it in the doorway) he walked past me, didn't shake my hand (which most doctors usually do), looked at a piece of paper, glanced at my leg, and said something along the lines of "There is nothing I can do. We will write you a referral. You need and MRI. Have a great day".
Thirty seconds into the appointment when I realized that was the end of the appointment I tried to probe and ask for more information like "do you have any indication of what it might be? ", "what is this muscle called that I'm telling you about? ", "do you think this is something that might go away? ". The only question he gave me an answer to was the last question and his response was laughter and "well, it's been bothering you for two months so obviously it isn't going away". It was so condescending and not at all helpful. The entire appointment from the time he entered the room to when he left couldn't have been more than a minute and a half and I left the room with zero information about my leg.
As I went to the discharge table, I was shaking just thinking about the experience. I was worried I wouldn't be able to pay without bursting into tears - I have to pay out of pocket and I was told the visit would range anywhere from $200-$300. A hefty price for a one minute appointment where the doctor just says "sorry I can't help you".
The woman at the front desk was so kind. She could tell something was bothering me so I explained that I felt really taken advantage of paying up to $300 for a 1 minute long appointment where I left knowing nothing. She was very compassionate and asked for me to hang on a moment while she spoke to the office manager, Daniella Goodish.
Daniella took me to her office. She shut the door and asked me to tell her about my appointment. I told her everything and she was INCREDIBLE. I have never experienced customer service like that. I went from being on the verge of tears and shaking, to completely calm and happy. She helped me look for a specialist and MRI place in my price range, and even called multiple doctors offices to set things up for me. She educated me on what I needed to do on my end and apologized for my experience. I will still have to pay the $200-$300 for the appointment, but I am happy to pay that after the information and care she provided. I truly have never met anyone like her and I can't even imagine how amazing the world would be if every business had at least one Daniella. A little compassion goes a very long way.
Although my experience with my doctor was bad, I would still 100% recommend going here because the staff will not let you leave disappointed. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
The wait time was also very short for a walk-in at 5: 30pm!
