CityMD West 104th Urgent Care - NYC reviews
19I was visiting from out of town and my sister recommended we go to your clinic. Walked in and was able to see doc quickly. The tech was super efficient, friendly and kind. Doc entered and said "I'm sorry you're not feeling well. " So nice! I was pretty knocked out and they took tests and cleared me of some illnesses and ckd me over. Explained about new antibiotic type and got me out quickly so I could get back to bed. Really appreciated getting the antibiotics so i could start the course before I left for home 2 days later. Wish they were my docs! Can't thank them enough. Did manage to see Billy Joel at MSG before I got sick, now I want to come back for Andrea Bocelli!
Super quick! I think I was in and out in 20-30 minutes. Everyone here is very kind and I appreciated how much they were willing to listen.
The receptionists are rude and don’t treat patients with empathy lol. Called to ask a simple question and got an attitude. Went in person and got the same attitude. Is this how you treat all your patients?
Last week after waiting 5 days for the results of a urine sample, the lab said they never received it. So lost. Last year I broke my wrist and came here and the splint they put on it immobilized my fingers, which was inappropriate and could have led to problems. City MD, you have to do better! In the meantime, avoid.
The young woman who assisted me upon my arrival was very cordial, courteous, kind and willing to help with my needs. She was at all times very friendly and understanding. Very grateful to her… A thousand blessings to her and the rest of the team! @agenony
The service was horrible. Nurse Coco did not check blood pressure or take vitals signs. She seemed annoyed when I asked her a simple question about converting my daughter’s height. She refused to give me her real name. She said that’s the name she’s called be in the office. Very unprofessional. No bedside manners. I had to ask the doctor to check my daughter’s throat which was the main reason for the visit. I don’t see what’s the purpose other than a check to work in a field that’s supposed to help vulnerable people. I know your loved ones would not be satisfied with your services. I left the facility feeling unsure about any and everything they advised me to do.
The lady at the reception was very helpful and friendly and so was the doctor. I felt welcomed and they really tried to help me and rapidly found out what I was missing.
Worst urgent care! Went in there with chest pain, pressure on the left side abs tingling on my hand and swollen. The Dr barely looked at my face and said they could not do anything.
Awful, I’ve been to other city mds and everyone has been great, the woman I just spoke with was extremely rude, she did not answer my questions, rushed me, because clearly she was was dealing with people in the waiting room repeated procedural responses without answering specific questions, raised her voice and hung up prematurely. Absolutely no need to be unprofessional and unkind. It’s really a shame that healthcare is such a mess in the us and that you get sent in circles to get answers to simple questions like ‘do you take my new insurance, can you help me if I come in for x and what is the cost for y. ’ There are urgent care centres everywhere no need to go any place where staff is unkind and unprofessional. All of us - patients and providers have to navigate the mess that is healthcare in the us, at least we can be humane and respectful as we do so, leading with empathy. I never post bad reviews because I think it’s crazy, I love posting a good review, only sharing because I hope management will address the issue, if insurance suggests you call to verify before getting care and then the first point of contact is unpleasant there’s an issue. I’ll go a bit farther down the block for care.
Wouldn’t recommend this location if you’re looking for quality service. Front desk is rude and angry. The doctor is rude, condescending and arrogant. His smug unnecessary little smirk will make you uncomfortable. If possible try a different location.
Great experience from start to finish, highly recommend…extra points for a spotless office!
The 104th Street & Broadway CityMd have really competent doctors that evaluate you completely. The staff is really nice and the phlebotomist is extremely skilled. Excellent for emergency situations and fast, fast service.
The doctor I saw was incredibly dismissive. Wouldn’t even get close enough to examine my arm that I was in for. She was belittling of my concerns and barely gave any feedback on how to treat my concerns.
I went in for a COVID test and they also made sure to test for strep and flu as well. I thought the wait time estimate was accurate and good to know so I wasn't just expecting something else. The staff was friendly, looked at my health history carefully, and communicated details concisely.
Clean area with personable and patient employees who explained everything to me, including worker’s comp forms (I was injured at work and required urgent care services).
The place is clean, hand sanitizer, water, & greeted when walking into the place. The staff, & doctor was efficient. I felt comfortable with answering questions. An it was just a pleasant, comfortable, visit. I will definitely come back
I needed a TB proof of negative status for an event; I went to CityMD at 104th and Broadway. Clean. Very quick. Sweet doctors. I never go to a doctor. But if I had to, I'd go here. Dr. Glover (f) and Dr. Serrano (m). A plus grades.
This is a very scammy company. Dr saw me for 1 min and 30 seconds. They refused to treat me and told me I was fine and not contagious. Never tested me or anything. Got 3 other people sick. When you call the billing department they will tell you no one can refund you and when you ask for a supervisor they tell you you're not worthy of talking to a supervisor. Complete scam
It was a pleasant experience. Everyone is sweet, respectful, and helpful. Not a long wait and their quality of work is great. The medical assistant who attended me was the sweetest. Keep up the good work.
