The sign on the door says it's open from 10: 00 AM - 6: 00 PM on Sundays. Online, it says it opened at 11: 00 AM. It's 12: 33 & it's closed. Harlem, man. They get you every time.

This place is unprofessional the eye doctor has a mask on pulled down under his nose examining patients in small room it’s HORRIBLE with the the productivity and if you don’t no no better with your insurance they will try to rip u off

I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to write one as the reviews for this Cohen’s location make literally no sense - this location is GREAT. I received fantastic service from the moment I walked through the door, and the staff went out of their way to help me get an immediate appointment / prescription in very short notice for an emergency.

Great spot and highly recommend for your vision needs.

I have been going to this place since I was in hs, for over a decade. The quality of the store has seriously declined. The frames are way overpriced for what they’re actually worth, charges add up on lenses when they should be included in the original price. & the customer service is awful. For whatever reason the older woman Gloria there is always in equipped with answers to questions and unwilling to be polite in her interactions with customers. DO NOT
SHOP HERE.

I found an amazing small business if you guys are looking for a good spot called Bridges Eyecare in queens. It’s right across the bridge, & I promise the care and quality of service is well worth it. Frames and glasses are reasonably priced, & the doctor doesn’t mind giving multiple free trials with contacts. They also take great care with whatever issues you are having with your eyes to ensure a resolution. Check them out!

Was looking for a new eyeglass store, so stopped in the harlem branch but wanted to test them first. So had them to adjust the glasses I was wearing. Went back 2 more times. The gentleman acted as though he was adjusting them, but did nothing. I'm experiencing the same problem. When placed on my eyes, he says 'perfect', at the time I wondered why he said that, now I know. Nothing, no adjustment was done. Well my search for a new eyeglass place continues. Brother, man everyone isn't stupid. Just lost a sale!

I’ve been using Cohens for about 20 years as it’s accessible in whatever borough I’ve lived in. But I’m done with them from now on…. The utter unprofessionalism at this location has ruined them for me. They will forget to put in your order, forget to call you back, forget you even went there as they’re likely to misplace everything. There’s one manager who does damage control and will apologize profusely—but nothing changes.
At this point I’ve just been trying to get my prescription to go elsewhere. But they’re onto that—so they will give you the run-around if you call and ask for an emailed prescription. Each time I call they act like I’ve never called and will grudgingly say they can fax it to me…. Like any of us own a fax in 2022. I’ve asked it to be emailed, they’ll pretend that’s impossible, then admit they can…and will never do. Funny because one thing they’ll never forget is to bill you…. That part is something they care about. At this point I’ll either be taking my lunch break to get this in person OR I’ll just take the hit and get a new exam elsewhere. Unlikely another establishment could be worse.

Gloria gave excellent customer service felt welcomed and pleased with the overall experience great attitude will continue to come here always!

This place is a rip off!
They charged me $310.00 for 2 boxes of contact lenses.
1-800-contacts charge 119.98 for the same thing.
He told me he order 2 more boxes for me as a curtesy, he never did.
He just gave some of his free sample to me.
CAN NOT TRUST HIM!

The service was excellent!
The sales woman and the manager were so attentive Immediately when I entered the store the sales woman asked me what type of frames I liked and immediately she brought out the perfect ones.
The manager was so nice and saw that I got the best type of glass to fit my prescription.
My glasses were ready after only two days.
I picked them up after I received the courtesy call.
With Cohen’s optical on 125th street, no need to look anywhere else!

If I can give them no stars I would. Went for and eye exam for glasses and contacts. My union paid for one and I paid out of pocket for the other because Cohen said it would be two different prescriptions. After the exam, the doctor said it’s the same prescription for both. Shady! The worse part about this is that I still can’t see well with the contacts or glasses on. I wouldn’t recommend this spot. The best Cohens are downtown.

This optical location is very family driven with their understanding and professional services for all age groups young and elderly.

Excellent, friendly staff and service. Took time to fit me for contacts and get that fit right, all while taking the time to explain everything to me. Ran my insurance even though I didn’t think I was covered and it turned out I was. Will come back the next time I need a new frame or script!
