A landmark. The best bread. Get an extra lost and eat it warm driving home!
Amazing.

It's got the old fashioned bakery charm. Great bread at good prices & it's just cool to check it out. It's hidden in plain sight; If you've driven down Salina, you've probably past it! They may still be cash only, not 100%sure about that though.

Had family grow up in Syracuse and whenever we visited we always stopped by here for bread, it’s a staple. Just have to remember to buy 2 loaves, 1 for home and 1 for the drive home

I've been going here since I was a little kid. They have the best Italian bread in the world. If you go there you have to try their bread. It's the best Italian bread in the world. They cook it like old fashion days in the stone oven. I think they've been there since the 1800s. They've been there a really long time longer than I've been alive. But yep this is the number one place to get bread for sure. A plus all the way

Not much to say. Fresh bread every day that’s not expensive but insanely good. If you haven’t come here you have too.

THE BEST ITALIAN BREAD THIS SIDE OF THE ATLANTIC. PERIOD. It’s a must stop every time I’m in Syracuse.

Took a friend to buy a single loaf of bread after church. He grew up in Liverpool but has been away for 50+ years. It was fabulous as always.

Columbus bakery is part of the Italian heritage I'm in large side of the city of Syracuse. Authentic Italian bread is a national treasure at Columbus.

They have freshly baked sandwich loaves of bread, sliced and unsliced - your choice, flat flat loaves of bread indented so that you can cut them easily into squares of bread either to eat whole or slice in half for a sandwich.

They now make fresh sandwiches with the best delicatessen makes possible.

All breads are baked on promises in ovens that are over 50 years old. I'm sure that's what gives the added flavor to their bread. They have not changed their recipe in years.

Enjoy

Columbus bakery, what else can I say? ! Always been a staple of our families get togethers, whether it be a special occasion or a holiday or just a Sunday dinner. Gotta have Columbus bread! If you haven't been and you love fresh Italian bread with no preservatives you gotta try it at least once. However I guarantee you'll return again after trying the bread

BEST bread ever! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. All they do is bread since 1895. Most times you can get it hot. My favorite is the sandwich loaf but the flat loaf is great for toast. The pizza dough is outstanding as well

It's the best Italian bread I've tried here so far. Simple. Straight forward. Real. No preservatives taste. You don't need anything else because the flavor is perfect. I missed this taste and texture so much. I didn't think I could shed tears on a piece of bread, but here I am. The first time since I came to Syracuse I tasted a real good bread.

When I lived in the 3rd floor Apartment in the apartment building next to Knodel's Meat Market in 1971 I would stop at this bakery after work. I would buy a round loaf of Italian Bread for around 90 cents. That and butter would be my dinner. I had nothing then. My rent was $65.a month and my earnings were around $75.a week. That was one of my small pleasures.

Today I was thinking about my childhood in Syracuse and this place came to mind because I lived across the street for a few years and all of the kids from the apartment building would get together and go over and get fresh loafs of bread. I had to look it up on Google. The owners were always so nice to us, and I remember them showing us the process of how the bread was made. I sadly moved to Tennessee in 1997 and have never forgot about this place or there amazing bread. Been a long time since I have been back to the city, but when I do, I will most definitely stop. So glad to see they are still around and continuing to serve the community.

I wish I lived closer. I grew up in Syracuse and actually was neighbors with the owners of Columbus Bakery. Now we are talking back in the 60’s. Great people. Use to go over everyday for a cup of coffee. And I was 4. My mom would tell us stories about them when we lived next door to them. I tell my wife all the time about the bread. It would be worth doing a road trip to just get a good fix. There is no substitute for the bread. Keep doing a great job.

Unique old school Italian bread, and nothing else. Best bread ever. Long time family tradition (80+ years).
