Columbus Diner, Mt Vernon NY

Enjoyed a lunch with Mom and son on the Friday after Thanksgiving. So heartwarming to see family and friends coming together for the holidays. Wait staff was very accommodating.

Eggs Benedict were perfect and the grits were surprisingly delicious since I’m from the south and was not expecting great grits in New York! I have long loved this restaurant for dinner, now I can also say I love their breakfast!

They treated us very well. Very clean, friendly environment. Food was excellent and the staff was very welcoming.

The servers are A+ in my book, all are masked so you can relax and enjoy your visit. The food is very good. The dining room and our table was clean before we sat down. Our waiter asked if we wanted steak knives, wrapped and delivered them promptly inside a napkin.

I used to eat here a lot during my childhood spent in New York. I adore this place, in it's entirety. The menu is amazing and the Staff, I can't even begin about the staff! Thank you so much for being a part of my childhood.

Coffee is okay, water down. I had the appetizer sampler and they only give you 3 of each. Plus the Buffalo wings are dry, weak and very small. That's all I wanted

Love the french toast deluxe. Majority of the time the service is great. The banana pancakes are big and filling. They just need to work on the consistency of the the food. It can taste completely different and not as great depending on the day.

It was clean, staff were kind. The restroom was also clean. They had alot on the menu to choose from. The food came out pretty fast, however I didn't care much for the taste. 1- I asked for the avacado chicken wrap and got American cheese chicken wrap no avacado. I ate it, really hate to complain. Needless to say it did not sit right with me. I don't recommend for those that like flavor on their food. Otherwise the prices are good.

There should be a zero star option for this place. I was given bad chicken salad and the pastries were rancid. I will not go back there ever again.

Customer service was good but the food wasn’t enjoyable I had to send my burger and eggs back then they gave me a weird run around when I explained to them I didn’t enjoy my food, as if they didn’t wanna remove it from the bill.

This place is very on organized in the weekend especially on Sundays. Don’t waste your time coming to this place because you’re gonna be waiting a very long time for just a breakfast plate that is Soso. I give it a thumbs down.

I am not new to this diner. I have visited twice before. This morning, I brought my mother to diner to enjoy breakfast. We were seated by a waiter in area where no one was seated. My mother overheard an exchange between two waiters about the nature of our seating. We brushed it off and waited for someone to take our order. Two more groups were seated and instantly waited upon, while we were still waiting for someone to ask us if we wanted coffee, tea, or anything. One waiter and one waitress continued to walk back and forth serving others and not once stopping to check in with us. Long story short, I waited five additional minutes before telling my mother we would be leaving. It’s discomforting to think that we would be bringing our business to an establishment and treated as if we were not there.

Was there with a few friends. We all enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good & the service was also very good. We will return in the near future.

Don't fall for the lower stars reviews. The food is delicious and will get you full. My pregnant wife cried over her grilled chicken omelet. I was happy with the coffee. So gooooood.
