Hello Diane,

I want to first thank you for responding to the email. I do feel it was a bit delayed and was disappointed that we could not converse in person about this matter. I want to thank you for acknowledging the damage that your agency did and how it affected my employment.

I want to address a statement made by you in this letter about my “broad allegations”, I believe words are very powerful and I have an issue with your statement. The situation happened within your organization and from someone in your senior management team, that seems very narrow to me. Again it seems that Community Health Action of Staten Island is trying to reframe and diminish their role and responsibility. If one person in your organization supports racist behavior it affects the entire organization. Instead of acknowledging the hurt and damage, you are trying soften the agencies stance by trying to explain. I was very clear when, I wrote the email about the work you and the agency were trying to do to fix things. If supporting racist behavior by senior staff is allowed then maybe the organization should not be allowed to mentor students until they have fixed the issues within the organization. Had this been my first introduction to social work field it would have caused irreparable damage.

After this email do not worry, I would rather fail my course then, work with your agency again. Diane this was truly hurtful.

Your agency has assisted me in knowing what I want to do with my career as social worker and that is to work to dismantle organizations that support practices that makes individuals feel as undervalued as an employee as your organization did.

Best,
Charles

MICHELLE AND DINA SHOULD BE FIRED. Great organization to work for if you're not a black member of Michelle Digisio's team. She's racist and I've watched my mother's health deteriorate from being bullied and gaslit. Nobody in charge is stopping this woman from wreaking havoc on black subordinates. She even told a black male subordinate in a hoodie that he looked like he'd rob her. I'm tired of having no choice but to sit back watch this woman terrorize my mother and get away with it.

Dina Dini is Michelle's brown-nosing sidekick who does Michelle's work to the point where she tries to boss her co-workers around like she's a poorly trained supervisor. Considering Dina's previous employer fired her for stealing from them, you'd think she'd walk the line here. Dina doesn't feel the need to walk the line at all because Michelle is a racist who enables her. They're grown women who peaked in high school trying to relive their mean girl days by going out of their way to make black employees uncomfortable.

I know this is a government funded program and I'm sure those that fund it wouldn't like to know that racist white women are making it an extremely toxic environment for black workers.

Update 30 January 2023:
If you really cared, EVERYONE involved would've been fired. My mother was blackballed from day 1 and the bullying caused physical illness. When she quit, the illness stopped. This will be swept under the rug. I'm sure of it. If you really gave a damn, you would've replied with contact information.
