Competition Cesspool & Drain #1 Cesspool Service, Holbrook NY

We called Competition Cesspool for help with a sink clog. The receptionist who answered our call was very pleasant and informed us that they could fit us into their schedule the same day! When they arrived, Mike and Nick went right to work. They analyzed the situation, solved the clog with the proper equipment, and ran the sinks for a while just to be sure that the clog was gone. While checking for any remaining clog, they also identified a venting issue with the sink, and we were happy to listen to their recommendations for a solution. We have scheduled another appointment for them to fix that venting issue, and look forward to them solving that too. We are very grateful for all of their help!

I would highly recommend Competition Cesspool to anyone in need of this service. The customer service, along with services performed were OLD SCHOOL = knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, considerate and professional from start to finish. Upon having cesspool problems, we contacted several companies, I knew from the first phone call to Competition, this was the company we would be using. We spoke with a woman by the name of Deanna in the office who was very knowledgeable -which was extremely helpful in guiding us as homeowners. We considered our circumstances an emergency and were treated with priority service. The owner came to our home in Huntington within hours, he was polite, and made me as a woman feel respected in how he went over exactly how our system was set up, worked and what we needed to do to rectify the problem properly. (we were looking to take short cuts for cost purposes) I am glad Michael took the time to explain the cost effectiveness, he was considerate of my budget and helped me to make the better decision. It is hard to get old school customer service in todays business world and Competition certainly provided it. Thank you

I had competition come out to service my cesspool. They were prompt, curtious and reasonably priced. Great guys. Great job. Will be using them in the future and highly recommend them to all

BEWARE! Do not use Competition cesspool unless you want to get ripped off. They DO NOT back their work!

We had a scheduled appointment, not an emergency appointment… They never checked to see if we had a clog, “cleaned” out our septic tank, and only had us flush 1 toilet before claiming that we would be all good for at least 2 weeks until we set up another appointment with them to bring back an excavator and dig up our lawn to get to our cesspool. 4 hours after they left, our basement began flooding again. The owner refused to admit their fault in not checking for a clog, and now wanted to charge us more service fees to snake our pipe. Thankfully, I was smart enough to catch on to his game and called another company. After calling around, it was beyond obvious that Competition Cesspool will make it seem like they have to do more work than necessary to get more money out of you! They wanted an additional $1700 to get to our cesspool on top of the $400 they charged to “clean” out our septic tank. Additionally, NO excavator was needed for our home, and Competition cesspool left us with a flood 2 days before Christmas! Shameful!

Upon inspection from the second company we had come, we were told that Competition never even fully emptied our septic tank! That was the only thing they did for us, and they couldn’t even carry it out?

The second company came, dug a hole with a shovel, installed a pipe, added chemicals, and cleared the clog from our pipe. This was all done at 11: 00 at night with professionalism, honesty, and significantly lower price points. And… they back their work because they want you to be a returning customer, imagine that…

Do yourself a favor, call County Cesspool and don’t even bother with Competition, they are thieves!

We used competition for a regular service for our cesspool. We bought our house recently so we were unsure of when the last time it was serviced or what it means to get the cesspool serviced. The guys that came out explained exactly what they were going to do and were quick and professional. I have already recommended them to family members and will be using them again in the future.

I used Competition for an emergency project in my backyard. I was having big issues with the original work installed by a different contractor. I had a strong feeling there would be a load of underground, hidden problems that would need fixing from the original work done. This work required the right amount of investigation and knowledge and i wasn’t so sure it would go smoothly. This made my family and I nervous. Luckily we hired the right guy. Michael, the owner, was not only reasonable but he was a man of his word and stayed mobilized on our project until it was completed quickly and correctly. There were many issues thrown his way during a short timeframe but he navigated through each one seamlessly – broken underground piping that needed repairs, rock removal/jackhammering, poor soil preparation, etc. At each turn he had the right tools onsite. Any missing materials were a phone call away. It was pretty amazing. A different contractor would have taken days to complete my job purely because they wouldn’t have had the right materials mobilized for each and every situation. Competition had everything covered. With Competition you get a knowledgeable company that comes prepared for any situation. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of their sanitary and drainage needs.

Arrived on time and ready to work. James and Mike were the men on site. Quickly determined the problem and were able to clear the problem (a blockage/roots). They were neat and efficient. There’s no competition when it comes to Competition Cesspool and Drains. Mike is very professional and patient. I am new to the cesspool world and Mike has explained everything to me in simple terms every step of the way. They are trustworthy and affordable!

I am so happy to have found this company. From the first phone call speaking with the receptionist Deanna, to having the guys come and do routine cesspool pump everything was great.
