Conrad New York Downtown reviews
13Staff and service was exceptional! Great view of the hudson river in room 1026 and chief (the dog) was super kind!
Stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed my time there. Despite a few problems here and there, the staff was quick to respond and did their very best to fix the things that did not work.
Too bad my experience ended on a bad note. As I was leaving and heading to the airport, a member of the staff helped me find a cab but told the driver to charge me $100 to go to JFK when it’s normally a flat rate of $52 (the taxi was just a normal NY yellow taxi).
Okay, first things first - this is by far the best hotel in the US for me.
Rooms - 5/5
Hospitality - 5/5
Front Desk - 5/5
Room service - 5/5
I don’t think I can think of any reason to not to like this place.
This is one of the few hotels which have smart water maker in every room. The rooms are extremely pretty and the COVID protocols are followed really strictly. We were greeted well by front desk and other support staff. I was there for my birthday and they went an extra mile to make it special. Now these kind of things are mot very common in US hotels. I loved how warm and friendly this place is! Coming back here for sure!
It's a really upscale hotel. The rooms gorgeous, and spacious. The robes and slippers are really plush. The king size bed might as well have its own zip code! They really didn't skimp on the details here, the rooms really nice, kinda wish they didn't charge so much to use their fridge but hey at least the place is pet friendly!
Very spacious and modern rooms with excellent amenities. Hotels in New York are notoriously expensive and cramped, so it was very refreshing to walk into the Conrad and be greeted by an enormous atrium lobby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the only real complaint was that they seem a bit short on housekeeping staff, but definitely would still recommend for families visiting the city!
My wife and I think two nights on Tuesday and Thursday to spend my 42nd birthday. The service and workers are kind, attentive, and accommodating. The room payment was made on a tablecloth, and the gentlemen knew exactly where to put the table so that we could continue to appreciate the value of the hotel as we ate. Overall, a fantastic experience!
I came to the conrad with a guest and it was amazing as usual! The rooms were beautifull and the stay couldnt have been better! The staff treats you like family and will help you with anything and everything you could ask for. Highly reccomend staying here no mater the occasion.
We booked on a free weekend night voucher with Hilton, used points for one of the nights, and paid for one night. The hotel is upscale but seemed to lack ambience needed to feel at home. The lobby is a huge space that is devoid of activity. There is no pool which is a huge phooey. What I enjoyed most about this is the hotel cleanliness, customer relations (they email you ahead of time to ask if you have any requests) and the ability to stay in touch during my stay with texting for room needs. Location is near the World Trade Center, but mostly we went to the Little Island park, rented bikes and rode bikes to Central Park. It was a wonderful experience for us.
Impressively spacious, clean, and well equipped rooms. Impeccable service. Views, location, and lobby are all 10/10. STAY HERE IN NYC!
The staff were super friendly! Tenzor at the front door gave us recommendations near the hotel to take pictures and enjoy Battery Park. Isaac helped us with our luggage and like everyone else offered to help with anything. Michael the Director of Guest Relations took care of a minor gaffe and made things all well again. Everyone was engaged to make our stay personable and welcoming. The all suite rooms were modern and comfortable. Love the location across from 9/11 Memorial and the FiDi area. There is a great walkway on the water just outside of the hotel. We will be back.
It's a really beautiful hotel, at a great location, with comfy beds. My stay could have been great if it wasn't for one major issue: the room was freezing cold at night. We called numerous times before a technician came to our room. He let us know that their generator was turned off and it will remain like that for the rest of the night, so even if they were to give us another room, it will still be freezing cold. Well, that prevented me from sleeping and I had to wear so many layers of clothes just to stay warm. They gave us a handheld heater for the night but even that machine struggled to warm up the room. Who knew getting a warm room would be an issue in the 21st century, and at a 5 star hotel? I'm just really disappointed.
Hesitant to say too many incredible things about the Conrad Downtown because I want to protect this beautiful property becoming overly discovered but.this is a Five Star hotel. The location, staff, accommodations and food/beverage program are sensational. LOVE this hotel.
From the moment we called at 1215 am, due to another hotel screwing up, the team at Conrad was nothing but top notch. Greeted in the rain by a great concierge who helped to ease my wife who was extremely frustrated (prior hotel) to check out everyone was polite and welcoming. Even though we have family on the other end of island this is our new hotel for when we are in NYC. Rooms are super clean and cozy can't wait to try the rooftop bar when it reopens.
