Continental Express Halal Food reviews
10 Second try:
I like this visit more. Updated my rating to 3 stars.
Nice guys, but the food is not good. & I’ve had halal from multiple places. The rice isn’t as soft & the sauce gets dried out fast from the rice. Only ate half of the plate and threw the rest out:/
Nice guys who run this cart.very efficient, price is affordable, and the gyro is delicious!
The two men who serve halal at this cart are among my top 10 favorite people in New York. I’ve been coming to them for weekday lunch for 5 years and they always ask how I am and remember my order. The food is delicious and cheap, best chicken & lamb over rice around town. They are so kind and dedicated - they know most of their regulars’ orders despite a long line every day, people are loyal to them and they adhere to that responsibility. They arrive at about 9 or 10am to set up and don’t leave until 6pm. I could not recommend more highly.
Delicious! Even after relocating office space- I still trek 8 blocks to and from… and happily wait in line to pick up lunch from my favorite food truck.
Been getting their chicken and rice for years. When working from home I yearned for their food. It's once of the best halal chicken and rice carts in Manhattan!
These 2 gentleman have been serving their food for years, same cart, same spot. The food is really tasty and cooked with love. The lamb and chicken are both seasoned nicely. You can get your food over rice or salad. Or you can get a gyro.
The pita is soft and makes the sandwhich that much better. The white sauce is a must on everything. They have hot or extra hot sauce. Not sure how anyone could say Anything bad about these guys. But
For the price, quality and freshness you should be grateful
Stale & untasty food. Tried 2 things on menu, chicken & falahfal over rice.totally disappointed
This restaurant costs less than other halal carts and thats why I like it. They use metal tins though which contain less food so stick to the wraps for 4 dollars.
Love this cart - the price is right and the guys are really friendly. I get the falafel platter here 2-3 times a week. Pro-tip, if you go before noon, they'll still be baking the falafel, so it'll be fairly hard. If you go after 12: 30-1, the falafel has been soaking in the chickpea sauce stuff for a while and it's buttery soft. Makes a huge difference.
