Copake Country Club, Craryville NY

Beautiful nature but the course itself is in terrible shape. I play in much nicer courses half the rate in cities around and in nyc public courses. The tee boxes fairways bunkers putting greens all need work. I give three stars only because the nature and environment and the views of like is nice.

Great views on the course. Tough to get a solid review because greens were being airated and sanded when we were playing and sand traps could use some maintenance. All in all I'm talking really late season, would love to check it out mid season. I'm sure then the conditions might be improved.

This is not what I consider a country club course. This was the second worst course I have ever played. Sand traps were stone and weeds. Tee boxes were not level. Some tee markers were behind the boxes in four inch high grass. Many of the markers were broken. Signs for each hole were illegible. There were no directional markers from green to tee. Cart paths were rutted and unsafe. We were highly disappointed and would not recommend this course to anyone.

We stayed at Creekside Rental (VRBO), right next to Copake country club.clean, well equipped, excellent landlord, terrific rental for families, paddle boards, kayaks, fire pit… everything and more that u could want in a rental. Would highly recommend. Also dined at Copake Country Club, lovely atmosphere and delicious food!

I have to agree with what many reviewers have said; Interesting course with fun and picturesque holes, but the bunkers are in absolutely unacceptable in condition. A 85 dollar round should not have rocks the size of golf balls covering a bunker. The cart path is also poorly maintained; steep declines with a path that is snaking makes for an uncomfortable and borderline dangerous ride.

I played there yesterday. The bunkers are terrible. Yes the weather might have washed them out, but they're full of rocks, stones and even the burlap is visible in many of them. The tee boxes are not level. You literally cannot find a flat spot to tee off from on almost all the boxes. Uphill and downhill lies on tee boxes! The place is generally just unkempt. The design of the course is nice but for $85 the bunkers and tee boxes need to be fixed

I have always loved playing here. The course is very challenging despite the yardage, some very interesting holes and stunning views in the fall. And the people who work there are very nice. BUT

1. The condition of the course is getting worse and the tee boxes, bunkers and cart paths are disgraceful. More like a course your would pay $25 for. Very sad.

2. They do nothing to maintain a n acceptable pace of play. Two times in a row, we had an incredibly slow group in front of us (with no one on front of them) and they did not offer to let us play through and there is no ranger One time it literally cost us an hour and a half.

I gave 4 stars because I like the people but until they address these issues, it’s really a 3.5 experience. But some great holes and some very challenging greens.

The course is nice.
One thing i didn't like was there tee boxes was not level. If they just took care of the maintenance just alittle more this place would be great.
Only would pay the 45 online price, not a 85 dollar course

Great ambience but menu has been reduced.
There are better food options in the area.
