Copas Bar, Bay Shore NY

Copas bar is best bar I ever been to. It is more of a late night spot on weekends. Food was so good the mofongo is amazing. The owner is very sexy too. Must visit.

Terrible take out experience. Did not provide key part of the meal. Food looks nothing like the photos. No phone number.

Been here a few times since they opened, this place just gets better n better. Great environment great people, drinks n food priced right, clean bathroom, nice outside area with tables. The location is great right near the Southern state Parkway, Sagtikos State Parkway n Sunrise Hwy.

Had a good experience my first time bur that all changed tonight. Had minor medical procedure so thought the sampler I been wanting to try would be perfect night. It is filled with things I don't eat and the cheese I was looking forward to and plantains are not there. Also we spent over $40+ and had to use the atm the sampler came without sauces. This place has no phone number and still hasn't answered my instagram question from September. We drove kinda far to go here. I am really disappointed since we work hard for our money and this is terrible experience to have a sampler platter no sauces at all soggy fries and lots of stuff we don't eat and missing all the stuff we do eat. Then cause a huge fight at home because I am incredibly unhappy and he blames me for picking this place etc.

This my new neighborhood spot, I love the vibe the whole atmosphere is inviting music is. The drinks are great I love the diversity. Bar tender was very nice and efficient. Love love love

I'll definitely be back had a great time food was delicious, fair prices, beautiful outdoor area, good music, it's a new spot with great puertorican cuisine with a friendly staff

I ordered Chinese food there and was sitting at the bar the Chinese was bad and over fried

It is too small to charge a ticket for women of $30 dollars and for men another $30. $60 just to enter for about 20 minutes because the music is horrible. Only the waitresses are attentive and friendly. Otherwise I will never return to this place.

Copss Bar is. Me and my friend came here randomly to watch the Nugget and Lakers game. Definitely a cool spot to chill early in the evening, whether you want some drinks, hookah or food (which was mad delicious), but it’s also a lit spot to go out to after 10: 30PM. We met the owner too and he’s a really down to earth guy. Me and my friend loved this place and we’re already back tonight. Definitely check it out, you won’t regret it

Copas bar is super fire, Carlos is a super down to earth dude who knows how to have a good time, this place is definitely up and coming!

If you’re the type to skim through reviews, all you need to know is this place rips people off. All to try and hustle your money. Staff unprofessional. Pricing unreasonable.

I go in there, slow night, bouncer charges me 25$. I’m not one to be really picky about paying entry but 25? For this venue? Definitely not worth it. However, I paid to have a fun time with friends. Another group comes in? Nobody charged a cent. I felt like they targeted us for what ever reason. But ok I moved on. The drinks were under served and over charged. AND none of the prices were consistent. I love myself a Long Island, but charging me several different prices ranging from 18-25$. No. It’s cash only mind you, so that says enough about their operations, but they also don’t print out receipts. I’m sure their hope is to target those under the influence and pray they don’t notice cost discrepancies. The employees were rude, when I asked about the costs of the drinks they pretty much said the price is whatever they feel like. And when confronting the bouncer about entrance fees, he swore he didn’t charge me anything. He tried to gaslight me saying I drank too much to remember. Unfortunately I was the DD that night and didn’t have any alcohol, I was just the only one in our group with cash so I handled the drinks.

After everything I requested to speak to the manager or owner. They refused to let me know who was in charge. Of course, I asked each individual worker there until I happen to stumble across the actual owner. Just as shady as his operations. Refused to answer any questions. If you’ve made it this far, save your money and don’t go.

If i can give this place no stars then i would. I was told by a friend who comes here a lot to check the place out (she knows management btw) i said sure. There's not a lot of latino bars on Long Island so why not? BUT If you're in this type of business or worked at a bar/club, you know some places can be scammers. This place is one of them 1. Charging a $20 cover charge on a sunday night 2. Bartenders choose whatever they wanna charge you for the same exact drink. First girl charged me $12 for a house tequila and orange juice. A little pricey but whatever. Second girl charged me $10 for the same drink Lol so i ordered a 3rd time ($13 this time), asked for a reciept and they said NO! Like what do you mean no? I let it slide because at the end of the day seemed like shawty needed the extra $2-$3. Oh and back to the $20 cover charge, they weren't charging everyone who came in. The spanish bouncer was scamming when he had the chance. I confronted the man about it and he got mad? Like I'm the one who should be mad. You took my money when you weren't suppose to? I pity the man though, his fragile ego can't handle accountability when it's due. This place is not worth the hype though. Too many middle aged people. Too many red flags in one night. If you want to listen to the other 9 "great" reviews then by all means go ahead. I just hope you keep these in mind! They should not be charging you a cover charge on a slow night and make sure you keep tabs on the amount of $$ you waste on drinks!)

I love the atmosphere. Very nice people to meet and great bar tenders good attention to their customers. Love it
