Cosme could be one of the best meals we have had in NYC and top 10 from our travels. Coming from Texas where we have Tex mex all the time, we had high expectations. It is pricey but worth it. The margaritas were perfect. Guacamole great consistency. Homemade chips. We had a few appetizers of the ceviche, mole and lobster tacos. All amazing! The adobo cobia was tender and perfectly cooked. But the best part was the desserts. The corn husk meringue sounded unique and it was incredibly delicious! We also had the flan and we have tried many flans and this is one of the best! Had the mezcal and hot chocolate which was some
of the best hot chocolate ever. We highly recommend Cosme for any occasion!

Excellent service, impeccable dishes, great atmosphere. Is a great spot for a special occasion or higher end date night. Is expensive but the food is worth it — everything we had was delicious. Few favorites: duck carnitas, corn husk meringue, octopus, lobster al pastor. Service was supreme, awesome atmosphere. Will be back!

Had dinner on a Saturday night at the bar. Tried the guacamole w/ corn tostadas, scallops tostada, soft-shell crab tacos, corn tlayuda and the cobia. Food was good but not spectacular; the scallops tostada was probably the best. Good mezcal palomas!

I have to start saying that all the reviews most be fake, the food it’s nothing good, I got the duck carnitas, and was the worst duck I ever had, de guacamole was tasteless and the octopus nothing special!
-This is not Mexican, not because you get a tortilla next to a meal means Mexican, or even a fusion! Sorry
-Drinks were the most simple.
-tables are a way too long, was easier to talk with the person in the next table than with my boyfriend.
-our waitress was just ok, I think the busboy was the most happy and nice guy…

Not our first time here at all but this time we sat at the bar and equally amazing service

Great date spot. Went for a work outing but would be better for just a one on one. Food and service was great and the selection of drinks were good as well.

Cosme is always a good time - creatively conceived and meticulously delivered Mexican food. Extra points for also being delicious (not so for their sister rest in Mexico City, Pujol). They have possibly my favorite entree in the city: Duck Carnitas! All this definitely comes at a tidy price, no question about that.

Good food but just very expensive tiny portions. Dissappoing to spend 150/person and leave hungry.

The nosiest restaurant I’ve ever been to you can’t talk and can’t hear the waitress. The food is not more than ok but priced like a Michelin starred restaurant.

The food was good but way over priced. Just not worth it. Would not go back with all the resturants in the area to pick from.

Phenomenal dinner! Duck carnitas and steak were amazing. Order a marg or 3! Fantastic dinner all the way around.

If I could give them a 10 I would! Being Vegan it’s usually difficult to eat at non Vegan restaurants whenever we go out in larger groups for Birthday Dinners. The staff were EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helped my fiancé and I out with recommendations. The food was FANTASTIC. Their wine list was unique and featured more out of the box options which was great to see. Their desserts looked great and the others in our group very much enjoyed them. It was worth every penny!

Delicious food, sophisticated mole sauce in the mole de la casa, loved the tender duck carnitas, and the soft shell crab with their tamarind/avocado mint sauce was tasty too (and I generally don’t like eating soft shell but theirs was enjoyable and the shell not too hard). The corn husk meringue was a perfect blend of savory and sweet for dessert. My BF had the LÁGRIMAS DE UNA HADA drink and I their orange wine, both tasted great.

I ate here for the first time back around 2018-2019, and it was amazing, however I went this past week (2023) and the food doesn’t taste like what it use to. The mole dish I had I remember having such a great flavor, but this time around it tasted like a chocolate paste. Service was so so as they didn’t bring me my tortillas that accompanied the dish and I asked them a couple times for them.

Overall I’m disappointed with my recent experience after having a very memorable 1st experience years back. I probably won’t come back as the food and experience doesn’t meet the price I paid for.

Excessively expensive meal, if you want to be satiated, you have to take at least 8 dishes.without forgetting that they are to be shared (might as well tell you that there is nothing on the plate)

For example first starter for 4: three chips that run after each other with a sauce that is way too spicy (watch out for hemorrhoids haha)

The taste is refined but it is absolutely necessary to review the prices of the restaurant.

One of the best mexican gourmet places I have ever been. Food is really good (I am mexican so I can tell). Personnel was always friendly, quick and kind. Definitely recommend it.

Growing up in Mexico a lot of the flavors from childhood were in my mind and never to be found anywhere in the U. S until I first dined at Cosme. The mole brought back the flavors that I remember from mom’s cooking and the soft shell crab in tamarind sauce brought flavors from my childhood in Mexico. Cosme deserves being on the top restaurants in the world and likely to earn the Michelin stars.

Busy. But amazing. Cocktails go down too easy and the octopus is next level. I'd come every week to have the ceviche. Basically. I'm sold

Our first dinner here was fantastic, and loved up to the hype. Each bite was delicious, unique, and flavorful. We asked and received excellent recommendations from the staff all evening long. They even treated us to some wonderful surprises throughout the evening to celebrate our anniversary. Would highly recommend and love to come back.
