There just aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Cosmos Midwifery is! I'm so grateful to have trusted them with such an important journey in my life. I had the most beautiful, calm, home water birth as a first-time mom and trusted my midwife, Jenna, throughout the whole process to guide my husband and I. Aside from being highly knowledgeable and super compassionate, I also must add that the resources available from them are incredible! Felt supported even post-partum, which is such an important part of birth that may be overlooked by other places. I highly recommend Cosmos Midwifery and am looking forward to working with them for my growing family

From fertility consult to IUIs to birth, Chloë and Jenna were a consistently warm, knowledgeable, and stabilizing presence in our journey. They provided information and guidance to make choices when appropriate, creating flexibility in a conventionally inflexible care situation (given my "advanced age"). We decided late-ish in the game to switch to home birth, which gave me great peace of mind. The Cosmos midwives and their colleagues treated me with great respect and kindness and provided essential support in the most intense and empowering experience of my life.

I decided to have a home birth when I was already nearing 28 weeks pregnant. I had a very quick birth with my first child so I was worried that I would give birth in transit. My OBGYN's suggested a planned induction and while they weren't pressuring me for the intervention, I was a little concerned at how quickly they offered it. When a doula friend of mine suggested a home birth, I was worried that it would be risky. I talked through all my concerns with Jenna during a zoom interview and she made it clear that there were several safe guidelines put in place to keep birthing parents and babies safe and that they assess throughout the process. I was also interested in listening to my body more this time and pushing when my body wanted to push, birthing in a position that would be easier for me than on my back on a table and getting to recover at home. Chloe and Jenna saw me during my office visits and sent emails full of great resources to prepare for the birth. The day my contractions started, we reached out and updated Chloe. She fielded all the texts from my husband and arrived just as my labor was starting to get more intense. Her birthing assistant, Alessandra also provided lactation consultation and they were both a joy to have in my home. The birth was fairly quick and I was able to listen to my instincts about when to start focusing on the labor and when to begin pushing. Chloe and I found Chloe and Jenna to both be down to earth, evidence based providers who validated my concerns and empowered me to listen to my body. I would recommend them to anyone looking into a home birth.

I cannot say enough positive things about Jenna and Chloe. I started care with Cosmos after a miscarriage. When I got pregnant the second time, I knew I wanted to work with them. It is the best care I have ever received. Jenna and Chloe are smart, knowledgeable, caring. Because of their ability to explain things with clarity I was able to make decisions regarding my own care. Throughout the entire pregnancy that process of processing information to make decisions gave me the confidence to do the same during labor and birth. I had a long labor and Jenna was incredible. I trusted her completely and was able to accomplish my goal to have my baby at home. Chloe and Jenna were available postpartum (and throughout the pregnancy) to answer all my nervous new parent questions. I wish all healthcare was this comprehensive and compassionate. I would not have a baby with anyone else.

Incredible attentive team. Super responsive and even proactively check in on their birthing parents. Both Jenna Chloe have an incredible ability to be in tune with the birthing parent during labor in a way that both empowers and supports. I cannot say enough Great things about this practice.

Truly the most special pregnancy, birth and postpartum care provided by Cosmos Midwifery. Both Chloë and Jenna supported me and my husband through our journey to become parents in an incredibly comprehensive, thoughtful and caring way.

As an RN myself I choose to have a home-birth as I wanted to experience physiological birth and birth on my own terms. Cosmos made that a reality, even with a few pregnancy obstacles along the way!

Jenna was there to bring my daughter into the world and I feel so fortunate that the trust and rapport that we had built over the last 9 months, meant that she was the one to guide me through the most difficult but rewarding thing I have ever done in my life.

Birthing with Cosmos was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! Every visit with Chloe and Jenna was so wonderful. They were both extremely knowledgable and professional and incredible at what they do, but they were also really gentle and thoughtful. It was a perfect birth experience and Chloe and Jenna were amazing throughout and after! Postpartum they sent me a lactation consultant and checked in on me and the family every day. It was so sweet and I felt really cared about! I wanted my second birth to be a different experience than the OB hospital birth i had with my first pregnancy and it truly was that. They were so attentive, cared so much and really focused on you, and all parts of you, not just as a pregnant person. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life and Chloe and Jenna made me feel so safe, so comfortable. They are the most special and I'm so grateful to them. Highly recommend Cosmos to anyone wanting a homebirth with the best midwives in NYC<3 <3 <3

Chloe was my midwife for the birth of my second daughter in 2017 (together with Elaine at CPM who is amazing) and third daughter in 2019, both at Mt Sinai West. She is a wonderful midwife who understands the balance of expert medical care and accepting and comforting care that is needed for prenatal care and childbirth. I never felt rushed at appointments with Chloe (so different from the doctors with my first daughter) and she understood so well that I didn't want to take medications during pregnancy so she was helpful in recommending natural remedies for when I got a cold, when I had a yeast infection, when I had back pain, when it was time to prep my body for labor and more I'm probably forgetting. With Chloe, I felt that I had a say in the process rather than being told what to do because that is what the medical expert says. She valued what I thought and any concerns I had and offered her advice so we could reach a decision jointly. And don't underestimate that quiet calm demeanor - she knows what she is doing and has the experience to back it up. I thank Chloe for helping to make my birth experiences empowering and joyful.

The decision to have a home birth for my second child was an extremely intentional one, and I learned a lot during the process. I’ve learned that a home birth is a wonderful option for women who have a low-risk pregnancy and want to have a unique and customized birthing experience.

I am grateful to my wonderful team of midwives, Chloë and Jenna at Cosmo Midwifery who have provided excellent care throughout the course of my pregnancy, delivery and currently while in the fourth trimester aka postpartum period. The care I have received from my midwives starting at our first meeting through the weeks after having a baby has been priceless - access to text or phone calls about anything, a next-day, two-week and a six-week visit, lactation support and a postpartum doula. I think that all women who give birth to a child deserve such intentional support (and much more), although in this country it does not feel like this is prioritized enough. I’m really grateful to practices like Cosmo Midwifery who provide holistic support to women from the first trimester through the fourth. I highly recommend considering Cosmo Midwifery for your home birth experience. It will be worth it!

I started out my pregnancy with a traditional obgyn (a great one that I found after careful research!) but slowly realized that in lots of big and small ways, I was being asked to subordinate my instinct to her expertise. It wasn’t until I was past 25 weeks that I felt confident enough to seek out a homebirth rather than trying to steel my nerves for a natural birth in hospital. Once I met Chloe and Jenna, I realized that I would not need to “advocate” for myself and my preferences as though I was locked in a battle with my provider, as many of my childbirth books had warned me I would. It was such a radically different experience: instead of expecting a deferential patient-doctor relationship, Chloe and Jenna offered themselves as my guides through this exciting and natural part of life. The prenatal appointments were relaxed, took as long or as little time as I needed, and answered all my questions. All the options were explored without judgment. I went into birth with very little anxiety because I felt empowered and I knew they had my back. When the day came, Jenna was supportive, warm, calming, and completely attuned to my needs. Any pain or self-doubt I experienced was never reflected back at me: Jenna and her wonderful birth assistant Leila just kept encouraging me and reassuring me that I could do it. And I did! And I would 10000% do it again. There are no words to describe how it felt to take a shower in my own shower, and get into my own bed with this brand new baby. Overall, the care I received was exceptional, personal, and had long-lasting positive effects on my breastfeeding journey and on my postpartum recovery. I am so so grateful to Jenna and Chloe!

Best decision I made was choosing cosmos midwifery for my home birth! From the first visit Jenna was kind, thoughtful and professional. I felt very safe and in good hands during the whole process. During the birth Jenna was calm and confident. I trusted her fully and she was very respectful towards all my preferences.
