Worst experience I have had recently in a hotel. The staff during the morning are rough and dismissive. Rooms are worn down. Suitcase pushcart is broken. The cleaning personnel spends the day in the hallway. Don’t stay here!

Great upper East side location. The service from Lisa at the front desk was exceptional. The room are clean and fairly larger considering it is NY.

Not worth the name of Marriott.
Services are awful and unkind (the worst part of this hotel).
Drainage is bad.
No breakfast, no amenities except terrible soap.
Carpet and beds are old.
You could literally hear next door talking.
Came for holidays, end up not using the hotel as possible.

+ Why on earth talk behind a customer when he is standing just around the corner. Shame to have heard that. Made me feel bad.

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Drafty windows, poor temperature control, system is very loud. Poor lighting in the room. TV difficult to use. Adequate.

Confortable and practical hotel! The best asset is the people working in the lobby front desk, always ready to help and with a nice attitude. Special thanks to Lisa, she was able to solve a problem for me by extending my stay in the same room even with the hotel totally full due to the NYC marathon (crazy times). Also good restaurants near.

I come to NYC often for medical reasons and this is the first time in over 10 years that i stayed with Marriott. It sure reminded me why i avoided Marriott chain all these years. Staff will not EVER do ANYTHING extra for a guest, even if it is as simple as bringing up a bottle of water or soda to the guest. They do NOT have room service, the only thing i understand the staff is responsible for is checking folks in and out. I am ashamed for Marriott, this is, after all, a Manhattan location. Above and beyond customer service is not only desirable, but EXPECTED, and here at Marriott a guest feels as if they are in a cheap motel on the freeway. Speaking from experience, i felt more comfortable and "wanted" at a holiday inn. Not to mention broken usb plugs that with a light tug will come out of the lamp circuit and create an electrical hazard, no ice/vending on the guest floors, and no convinient water/drinks available in the room even at a price. For a person staying here for medical reasons that may not be always dressed and ready to be seen in public this is a giant inconvenience. Not impressed, will stick with Hilton and Sheraton from here on.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Marriott’s over the years and this one blows. It’s a bit dingy, the cafe isn’t open, there aren’t many options in the convenience store in the lobby and the internet is painfully slow. If you have to work while staying utilizing high speed internet stay somewhere else. I have it two stars for location and the staff is North East friendly.

Rooms are barebone. No amenities at this location. Not even a bottle of water in room. However very clean property. Location is perfect.

Find another overpriced hotel to stay at. No breakfast, room heat is weak, beds uncomfortable and super noisy in the hotel. This was the worst Marriott I've ever stayed at+

Stayed here for a night in October. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Check-in was a breeze, so no problems there. Location was only a few blocks from Central Park, so perfect for walking jogging around the Park. Only problem was this was a fairly quiet part of Manhattan, so not sure if I'd stay this far up again. Other than that, it was a great hotel

Edited: the management reached out to us after we left the review and offered to fix it at 11pm. We declined. We were only there a couple days. It’s just an older property you get what you get.

We are still here. It sucks. The plugs don’t work so I can’t charge my phone (tried two plugs). The room is small and claustrophobic. The tv wouldn’t work so my husband had to fix it and the “engineer” was on a “break”. We are platinum members. Not impressed. The staff are fine. The accommodations are so so. In general wish I had chosen Hilton instead.

It's an ok hotel but the price is insane for what it is. When you check in or out there is a convient locked room in reception to drop luggage, although anyone with the code has access so it's not the most secure thing in the world but helpful. The rooms are ok and to be fair they keep them clean which is good. Seems like a lot of them have a shared door so if you have inconsiderate neighbours the noise does spill through. There's a snack bar in reception but no other food. Didn't find the staff overly warm or helpful, I asked the receptionist about something and she just said "I don't know nothing about that" and carried on with what she was doing. The car park at the hotel is ludicrously expensive, they charge you $70 every time you come in or out of it, meaning if you plan on coming and going it's $140 a time, there are cheaper alternatives nearby though. You're ultimately paying for location as you're in the upper East side near the museums and a host of amazing food

Nice bed. Fridge. Microwave. I slept well. I didn't hear any sirens from police etc which I thought might happen since it's NYC.

Wasn't there for long so ill just share my short stay experience. The microwave didn't work, the plate didn't spin so the food didn't heat up even but the worst part was the drian in the shower did not drain properly and fills up while showing. Beds were fine, room temperature was fine but the staff, amazing people.

Bad service, very outdated rooms, without any basic items. Weak lighting in the rooms.
Suitable only for those who require the location in this area

I travel for work to the Upper East Side quite frequently, and am always booked at this hotel. Every single time, there is some sort of issue. The staff are not friendly or helpful. This most recent trip, my flight was delayed multiple times, which ended up in me getting in the morning after my originally booked check in time (which was the night before). I called the front desk to let them know my flight was delayed until the next morning, that night. I also confirmed this when I did show up the next morning and checked in. Nobody made note of it, apparently, and they have considered it a no-show and charged me/my company for the room. This is the second time this has happened due to delayed flights (which are also extremely common right now). When I called after my trip to try to talk to someone else and get this resolved, the woman I spoke with was simply silent on the other end. No apology, no offer to fix it, nothing. The customer service is horrific and the billing is constantly being done incorrectly- and the staff simply don't care.

Additionally, the accommodations are sub-par. Rooms are old and dirty, with basic amenities and the hotel itself doesn't have much more to offer.

The room was clean and spacious by NYC standards. The staff was very helpful when we needed them. Overall a great experience

Coffee served in lobby. Staff helpful. Now I am going to tell you about the room. The bathroom
is immaculate. It is as white, and clean as I have ever seen a bathroom. Not dingy. But clean white. The towels and washcloths look like they are brand new. And if they send them out to be cleaned. I want to know where. So I can keep my whites, white The bed linen is white. Again, clean white. No stains or dinginess. Mattress and pillows soft. Just the way I like it. It was a pleasure sleeping in that bed.
