When all retail was shut down during the pandemic, and I kept straining my eyes on my laptop, I ordered a new pair of high-end prescription glasses online. When the acetate framed glasses came, they were horribly lopsided and tight, causing terrible headaches. I went into Couture Optical and Vlad was very helpful. He put the glasses under heat, removing the lenses so they wouldn't get damaged. A lot of trying on, adjusting, etc. He was patient and diligent though the whole process. The store is clean and cheery and they do exams there. I am writing this review now on my laptop with my perfectly fitting glasses.

Very good experience! I wanted to get an eye exam, which I had not done in a while. This was on a Saturday. I checked places near me that had open appointments, and the 65th Street store had a couple of time slots still available that day. When I arrived at Couture Optical, they took my insurance information and checked everything out. Wait time was minimal after that, and I was seen quickly. The eye doctor was great - this was the first time I had no real problem getting eye drops in my eyes for the dilation. With previous exams, that was somewhat problematic. The exam was in two parts. While my eyes were dilating, I picked out a pair of glasses. The best part was that they had a big selection of designer frames that are covered by my insurance 100%. The field of vision test was fun - it was like playing a video game. The exam resumed when I was fully dilated. And to top it all off, everything with my eyes checked out fine!
