Greens are better then the past 5 years.
Finally a little quicker.
They need sand in bunkers.

I booked online as a single and paid in the clubhouse. I got there an hour before my tee time because i wanted to go to the range first and warm up. So 15 mins or so before my tee time i go to the starter and the guy tells me he doesn't know if he can get me out and has no carts. Says he isn't messing up a 4some. A, i booked online as a single. Dont make the time available if you cant accommodate me. That time should be available to complete a group. That is was what other places do and expected the same here. B, dont sell me a cart if you don't have any. None of these are my problem. I schedule a tee time, pay and play my round. That's my part. The rest is on you to figure out the schedule. Then the starter starts laughing at me like its my fault and im wrong. The starter couldn't run a lemonade stand! The helpful young fellow in the clubhouse gave me a refund. Ill never step foot on this course again. The starter doesn't deserve his paycheck. He doesn't do the job!

Started playing here weekly starting a month and a half ago and absolutely love it! So well maintained. Near private course conditions. Gorgeous course and a terrific challenge!

First time playing Crab Meadow. I'm a single digit handicap and found this course to be somewhat challenging because most of the greens are tiny, postage stamp like. The course was is good condition and the views of the Long Island sound are unmatched. The course is not overly long but there are some difficult holes. That's the good, now for the not so good.

The driving range is small, both in the amount of stalls (maybe 15?) and in distance to the end of the range guarded by a tree line. After hitting a couple of balls past the tree line, I retired my driver and didn't use it anymore. Even though the amount of stalls is small, my group didn't have any issues getting a spot to warm up before our round. The price for a bucket of balls is comparable to other area driving ranges I have been to. The course itself is nice, as I said, but has a few holes where there are blind tee shots. One hole in particular is VERY dangerous and someone in my group was almost beaned in the head with the drive from the group behind us. They really need some type of communication on this hole (and others) to signal the group behind when it is safe to hit. A flag system works well on other courses I have played or they should have a ranger on this hole to help out. Someone is going to get really hurt one day. My biggest complaint is the pace of play. It is SLOW. We waited to hit on practically every hole, and this was during a weekday. I've played slow paced courses, but this course was brutally slow and using a motorcart only exacerbated the situation. I would like to play this course again, but only when I know the pace of play is much improved.

Difficult course, but well taken care of. Lovely holes with water challenges and beautiful views. Also, sometimes deer to behold!

Love this course. Play any chance I can. My only gripe is it can be painfully slow. There are never rangers out there. I played 9 other day took me 3: 45.

Crab Meadow is a gem! It has become one of my favorite courses on Long Island. It is one of few courses on LI that are kept in tip top shape all year round. It has many challenging holes and beautiful views of the North Shore and Long Island Sound. Very reasonably priced and the staff are always courteous.
