The staff here are PHENOMENAL! They are compassionate and genuinely care about the wellbeing of the animals. The staff went out of their way to talk to the vet to help me get the best care for my baby within my budget. I will be forever grateful for the help! Also Dr. Duggan actually examined my pet, this is sadly very rare these days but not with Dr. Duggan! She took her time to examined every inch of my baby. I highly recommend this vet office! Thank you from Opal!

Pro: same day appointment available. They offer a discount for a 501c3.

Cons: everything else. I spent a total of two hours in their office, only five minutes of which was spent with the vet. Their prices are higher than our usual exotics-only vet (even after taking it into consideration the discount they offered). It’s been over two weeks and multiple phone calls to find out about lab results. Woman answering the phone was argumentive. Still haven’t gotten a response on lab results.

I gave them a try after some others had recommended them. Unfortunately I cannot and will not recommend their services.

I was nervous for our first visit but it was for nothing. The staff and other pet owners there were extremely friendly and helpful. I appreciated how nice everyone was to my dog. Many people fear his breed but the staff were all hugs, treats and smiles for him. The vet and her assistants were kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and gave some suggestions to try before our next visit.

The staff was all very nice and they were able to get me seen the same day. My Guinea pig was seen by Dr. Fairlie and she was amazing, quick while still taking the time to make sure I understood everything. 10/10 service.

Overall, poor customer service and desperate to take my money. No Sympathy or Empathy of a pet parent time of grief after getting the news to put their rabbit down. As a staff that’s beyond unprofessional not showing empathy but instead smiling in my face and ready to take my money. They weren’t very welcoming either just starred at me and my partner. Service was rushed as well. This is not how you treat pet parents.
Devils!

I was having difficulty finding someone to neuter my rabbit. At this first time visit I was impressed with how they handled my very stressed & anxious rabbit. Everything was explained in great detail. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. When it comes time for his procedure, I feel he will be in good hands.

Extremely courteous and helpful staff, and very professional and pleasant doctors and technicians. Our guinea pig was lethargic and stopped eating and we were able to quickly make an appointment. They took such fantastic care of us from the moment that we stepped in the door, putting us immediately at ease. Thank you!

Editing review after dealing with MD Fuhrmann and her abysmal vedside manner. My first experience was when I brought my kittens in. That had ringworm and I told her. This is what they have, and she turned to me and rudely said "of you have a moscrope at home" She wanted to do a microbial test. That would cost me another hundred and twenty dollars on top of the $180 she was charging me.
My second experience with her was when I brought my elderly cat in for some blood work. She had an attitude the entire time and completely dismissed all of my ideas and suggestions. Even though I have known my cat for fourteen years and she's known the cat for fourteen seconds. She was unable to Get blood from my 7 and a 1/2 pound cat and suggested. I come back another day even though I told her I wouldn't have another day off over two months. When I suggested sedating her she wanted to charge me over a thousand dollars to do so. A really nice woman did come in However, and explain why certain things need to be done. Not only was dr. Furhrmann rude with her im a vet and your just a dumb owner attitude she didnt even offer me care for when i got home or suggest a diet or vitmins to help my cat.

Dr. Fairlie is the coolest most amazing veterinarian we've ever had the honor of caring for our pets. She's honest and knowledgeable. She's also very thorough. We won't go anywhere else.

I was pleased with my initial visit with my bearded dragon. I I had a bunch of testing done and was told I’d be called when the results came in. A hefty bill of $706 and was given a care sheet to follow. According the the sheet he seems to be within range for statistics. Was also given pain meds, not even knowing what’s wrong with him. It’s now two weeks, I already called two times for results and was told doctor would call me back. No calls, no results. Took my money pretty fast though. Very disappointed.

I came to creature comforts with my senior dog who was pretty sick. The staff was so amazing and comforting. He crossed over the rainbow bridge and they were great every step of the way. Dr fuhrmann was so sweet and gentle. Thank you to all the staff.

Would not recommend if you have small birds

Tldr: I brought my budgie in to see a vet for a broken claw. He got the nail taken out, got placed on an ecollar and got a butorphanol shot, then died.

Day 1: Brought my budgie in for a broken claw. He was active, acting normally, and I already stopped the bleeding but I wanted to take him in for an emergency visit to be sure. I was also told that we don’t really know how much blood was loss but that he was fine and that he was acting as if nothing even happened to him. He was prescribed antibiotics and an anti inflammatory. He started picking on the injured foot by the end of day 1, and flew out of my hand while giving him the prescribed meds. His wound reopened while trying to catch him, so more blood loss, but I was able to stop the bleeding right away.

Day 2: He was still acting normally, still active but was still trying to pick on his toe. The vet told me to let her know if he starts doing that, so I brought him in for an ecollar. My bird was in so much distress he was flapping his wings so much. The vet didn’t seem to be too concerned by it and brushed it off jokingly saying that he was being dramatic. As we were driving home, I noticed that the rim of the ecollar looked like it had blood smears and saw that the side of his body and under his wings were all bloody. So more bleeding. I drove him back to the vet. They added a tape at the edge of the ecollar, and the Dr.said the area was just a little raw and recommended an opioid shot for pain and to calm him down and “get him used to the ecollar”. I was told that the butorphanol would be out of his system in 4-6 hrs. He was in and out of consciousness ever since he got that shot. He was also shaking/ vibrating his wings at times (I thought it was because the wound under the wing was hurting him but dk for sure).

Day 3: He was still acting like that the day after. He would still freak out then fall asleep then freak out again. He seemed a bit more weak, and had a watery stool. But pretty much seemed like a continuation of how he looked the day before so I assumed he was still processing the med in his system. Then he eventually died on day 3.

I called to talk to the vet. A lady called me back from the office and was insisting that it was because of the blood loss and not because of the opioid because “it would’ve been out of his system in 4-6 hrs. ” When I eventually got to speak to the vet, she told me it could have been the combination of all 3 (the blood loss, stress from the ecollar, and the opioid) but wouldn’t know for sure even after an autopsy. Though she did ask if I would like to get one, he was probably already being eaten by worms as we spoke.

He looked a lot worse than when I first took him in. In my perspective, my bird was active, alert, seemingly normal until he got the ecollar and the butorphanol shot. In hindsight, the restraints and the opioid seemed like a very invasive intervention for a broken nail. The vet should know whether an intervention is causing more harm than good especially when she saw how my bird reacted with that. I trusted the vet’s expertise and wish that I didn’t. In hindsight, I wish I just let him be after the broken nail was taken out and just placed him in a smaller cage for a bit. He’d probably still be alive right now.

We were really nervous when we moved back to the area to try to find a good doctor who would treat us and our fur babies with respect. All of the staff at CC are so good with our pets and we always feel so welcome there! 10/10 highly recommend
