Crew Restaurant & Bar, Poughkeepsie NY

A chic comfortable and inviting restaurant! Don’t be fooled by the outside exterior. We were happy to find this spot for an impromptu dinner date. The food was fantastic. Quality ingredients, quality service and delicious meals. Whoever came up with the goat cheese wonton with a cilantro pineapple drizzle deserves an award. We could of ordered two of them. The bread was fresh warm with what seemed like a homemade whipped butter. The shrimp stir fry was a hardy bowl of layered Asian flavors with the delicious char of broccoli. The salmon crusted with pistachio was also delicious, very salty but the lemon helped cut the bite as well the stewed greens on the bottom. The atmosphere is loud and there are televisions for patrons watching sports. We loved our meal and were quite satisfied all the way to dessert where we had crème brûlée with gooseberry. Our lovely waitress offered us a box of tea selections by Harry and Sons, the cinnamon tea was amazing!

The Crew team gets it. The owner is part par none when it comes to service and quality of food. Has become one of my favorite spots in all of the Hudson Valley to eat at. P.s, get oysters, they are always fresh and top notch!

What a fantastic restaurant. I visited on a Saturday night seeking dinner for two without a reservation and was able to get a table. The service was great, being our first time we didn't know much about what was available and the servers happily gave us time to look over the menus. The atmosphere was a mix of a bar and an upscale restaurant. Music was playing but not so loud that I had to yell across the table to my date. The food was excellent and worth the price. If I'm in the area again, I will certainly be back, but I'll probably try and make a reservation next time so I don't push my luck.

Restaurant looked really nice despite being put into a tiny room at the back of the restaurant with what appeared to be a private party.
Moved tables and ordered a steak (medium) and a veggie burger. Steak came out 'well done' and veggie burger came out stone cold and frozen in spots. Burger buns was wet - having just been defrosted.
'Grow a pair' was the best part of our experience! Lovely cocktail.
Server - Dani was very pleasant and professional.
Manager - (didn't state his name) - very attentive.
Chef / Owner - not working - in the dining area, sampling the wine. Passed our table 8 times. Not too concerned about the level of food coming out of HIS kitchen.
Overall disappointing dining experience.
McDonald's would have been cheaper and more satisfying!

When we are looking for that special place with just the right combination of ambiance, classiness and delicious food, Crew always comes to mind first. I literally have never had one bad thing.drink, appy, entree, or dessert. You can sit at the bar and mingle with the regulars, or sit right up at the kitchen bar and watch them cook in front of you. There's even a private room in the back if you're looking for a more romantic destination.

You can start off the evening with one of 6 different flavored mimosas, or if you are like me and prefer something a little stronger, let me suggest the "Behind Those Hazel Eyes" cocktail, filled with chocolate, vanilla and just the right amount of booze. For appetizers, they have a good amount of seafood selections, but I prefer either the chicken satay or the cheese empanadas. My sister-in-law prefers the vegetarian Crispy Brussel Sprouts.and I have to admit, they're delicious. They also have really good salads (the best caesar in the area), and a killer burger.

For entrees, my two favorites are the Ragu Bolognese over rigatoni, which by my standards is second only to my wife's version, and the Filet Mignon, served with ridiculously good truffled potato croquettes. My mother-in-law always gets the Grilled Salmon.with nary a complaint. The Black Angus Steak Frites are also very popular and are served with crazy good herb-seasoned fries.

If you can make it to dessert, try the Creme Brulee or the NY Cheesecake with a decaf cappucino.a perfect way to end the evening.

Every dish on the menu is fantastic. The oysters are, along with the seared ahi tuna and chicken satay. Great service, atmosphere - nothing negative to write.

I used to go here a lot for work lunches or with my husband for a lunch date when the kids are in daycare.unfortunately i have realized things have changed.between the blue lives matter/republican signs out front and the donald trump signature/picture by the bathrooms this is a very right wing place.the food is good and the servers are super nice but it's weird that they are all dressed in slinky black dresses most of the time.won't be going back.

Excellent dinner. Blackened chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw was great. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back soon.

As always, the food, service and dining experience was stellar! Jacqueline took very good care of us and this place remains one of our favorite local restaurants. Thank you Crew!

In the 6+ years my husband and I have eaten at Crew, there has NEVER been a bad meal or off night for this restaurant. They ALWAYS maintain their golden standard of service, care and quality in everything they do. It is our favorite go-to spot for an excellent meal, and you can taste the love and pride of their chef/cook staff in every bite. (I literally have to fight the urge to lick their plates clean - your taste buds will have a food-gasm). I highly recommend this place because it's reliable and delicious every time, even during this pandemic. Lauren took very good care of us and truly made our night. Thanks Crew ~ we will be back!

One of the best restaurants I've ever experienced eating dinner and dessert and drink. The presentation is awesome. The food was excellent. Service was impeccable. The seared tuna and Caesar salad was superb. My server, Jenna, was attentive, polite and sincerely cared for my wellbeing. Thank you Jenna H.

The food is always very good. The drinks are always very good. My greatest disappointment are the prices, a little steep.

I had an outstanding Ruben sandwich
and the seasonal vegetables for my side which were simply, perfectly cooked and seasoned

Haven't been to Crew in years and it didn't disappoint. Glad to see it thriving. Excellent service, cocktails, and food. I got the Steak Frites and my wife the Shrimp Farfalle. Great dinner

Crew is usually pretty solid but unfortunately earned 3 negative strikes for me today. Not only was there double the wait time on my to-go order (fries weren't ready) but there was no apology on the delay. In addition, my burger didn't come as I ordered and paid for (missing toppings). Normally wouldn't write a review but sort of struck a chord with me - especially after paying nearly $40 for just a burger and salad. Not sure who they have running the show recently, but they may want to figure it out!

Usually reviews have been pretty good to me but they fell short this time. The food here was simply okay. Everything is over seasoned here; there’s no balance or subtlety. The poke tacos were in a heavy sauce so you couldn’t even taste the tuna, the Chinese chicken salad had too much dressing, and the salmon fritters were just meh. Service was okay and the atmosphere had 80’s music blaring (think A-ha!). Oh well.

Ordered a “dry aged” Ny Strip cooked medium rare for $88. Tasted like a grocery store piece of meat. If you’re willing to spend the money go somewhere where they actually know how to cook a steak. Like Peter Lugers.
Would never go again!

This place is the real deal. The menu is a bit small but that's how you know you've got chefs who are darn good at what they're making. No massive menus with microwaved or pre-packaged foods. (Sorry Cheesecake Factory, I still love you!) They're so good that they cook right in the open next to the dining room for everyone to see. And I must say, despite the small portion, the Rigatoni Bolognese was excellent. Menu options are a little pricey but worth it. The head chef stopped by our table to check in. Class act.

Had the Duck Duo- breast and leg confit. The leg was hot. The breast was warm to hot, but the cauliflower and potato was cool to cold. Loved the duck, but temperature matters. My wife had the lobster ravioli, but the cream sauce dominated the lobster filling. So she was disappointed.

Absolutely incredible Valentine’s Day. Lobster ravioli oysters and brussels sprouts were extremely fresh and delicious. Staff was amazing and drinks were as strong as I asked. Thank you crew!
